Whether you’re looking to spend a luxurious holiday with the whole family or an altogether more romantic couple’s break, Dreams Dominicus La Romana Resort & Spa 5* offers impeccable facilities and all inclusive indulgence in the Carribean sunshine. Bayahibe, 22km east of La Romana, was originally founded by fishermen from Puerto Rico in the 19th century. It’s a tranquil beach village, yet the crystal waters teem with marine life and spectacular coral formations, while divers can explore three shipwrecks: the Atlantic Princess, St George and Coco. In the national park, nature enthusiasts will find lagoons and wildlife, including a variety of birds. There is much to do, and the inviting, soft white-sand beaches are perfect for travellers seeking relaxation.
