The land of the El Dorado is undoubtedly a beautiful synthesis of South America: beautiful landscapes of the Andes, colonial cities rich in history, remarkable memories of pre-Columbian cultures, the picturesque coffee region and a friendly and proud population of its ancestral traditions.

We take you on a tour to the end of the world in a country often ignored by tourists, Colombia. The fourth Latin American country, this original destination will allow you to combine discovery and relaxation.

Take in the colourful alleys of Bogota, its houses with colonial architecture and coffee plantations through the Spanish stronghold of Cartagena.

Day 2: Bogotá
After breakfast at the hotel, your tour of the capital will start in the morning. Take a cable car to Cerro Monserrate, located 3,150 meters above sea level, upon arrival you will discover the Basilica of Santa Maria della Croce di Monserrate, built in 1650. You will also visit the historic district of Candelaria and Piazza Bolivar, where the National Capitol, the Palace of Justice, the municipality of Bogotá, the Primada Cathedral, the Chapel of the Sagrario and the Palace of the Archbishop's Palace are located. You will admire the neoclassical façade of the Teatro Colon and the splendid church of Santa Clara (the visit will last 2 hours).

After lunch you will reach the gold museum, the main attraction of your visit. The museum houses the largest collection of gold coins from the Amerindian era. You will visit the Botero Foundation, donated by the great Colombian painter, which contains, in addition to the works of Botero, 85 paintings of the greatest impressionist masters. You will also admire the religious reliquaries of Casa Moneda as the 15th-century monstrance weighing 5 kilos of gold and rich in precious stones (the visit will last 2 hours). Overnight at hotel.
Day 3: Bogota - Medellin (breakfast)
After breakfast in the hotel gardens you will take private transport to Bogota airport. There you will take the flight to Medellin.
In the afternoon arrive in Medellín and settle in hotel located in the lively and cosmopolitan district of Poblado. Time at leisure at the end of the day.

Day 4: Medellin
A la carte breakfast at the hotel.
Day dedicated to the visit of Medellín. Medellin, an "innovative city", has a social history that has marked its evolution over time. During the visit, we can experience the history of a city that has changed since the social crisis, which in the 1980s and 1990s produced drug trafficking. The city has since turned to progress and security, making it one of the most special and interesting cities in Colombia.

Leave by private transport accompanied by guide to two relics of the history of the drug trafficker Pablo Escobar Gaviria: the Edificio Mónaco and the Virgen Rosa Mística. During this first journey, we are explained the history and context of the social problem that led to the birth of the Medellín cartel in the 1980s and 1990s. We then take a transfer to the "Avenida del Río", which we take to the city centre, where we visit San Antonio Square, Botero Square and the Antioquia Museum. Then we take the subway to start our panoramic tour from the cable subway to the "comuna Santo Domingo Sabio".

The city of Medellín offers a wide variety of urban arts due to the transformation that has taken place over the past 20 years. Today, the city is full of street art and its various forms of expression that the local authorities have declared to be a cultural symbol of Medellín. Graffiti is not only a history of art and culture, it is also a means of political expression. Admire the graffiti of Comuna 13, guided by one of the local artists himself! This tour gives you an insight into the daily life in this historically rich area, and makes you understand the importance of urban art for social communication and identity. Overnight at the hotel.

Day 5: Medellin - Cartagena (breakfast)
After breakfast at the hotel, you will reach Medellin Airport by private transfer, where you will take the flight to Cartagena. Once you arrive at Cartagena airport, you will be accompanied by a private transport to your hotel, where you will check in. Cartagena, a colonial jewel of the Colombian Caribbean coast, was declared a UNESCO World Heritage Site in 1984. The buildings, in fact, recall the splendor of the colonial era, with their superb carved wooden balconies and wooden doors that open onto sumptuous patios. Free afternoon and overnight stay at the hotel.

Days 6 and 7: Cartagena (breakfast)
After breakfast at the hotel you will spend free days to visit the city. We recommend the optional excursion : Visit of Cartagena (historic center, Convento de la Popa and San Felipe) accompanied by an English speaking guide. Overnight at the hotel.
