Upon arrival in Beijing, meet your representative at the airport and transfer to your hotel. Enjoy time at leisure to explore the city. Overnight in Beijing. Meals at your own arrangement.
Day 2: Beijing (Breakfast & Lunch Included)
After breakfast at your hotel, you will enjoy an important visit to the Tiananmen Square & the Forbidden City (closed on Mondays).
The Forbidden City, was the imperial residence for over 400 years. Home to 24 different emperors, this remarkable landmark will take at least half a day to explore. Notable sights within the Forbidden City include the halls of Supreme Harmony, Perfect Harmony and Preserved Harmony, the room of the cultivated spirit, the concubine halls, and a collection of treasures.
After lunch at a local restaurant, you'll get to visit the Temple of Heaven. This magnificent building with its triple blue glazed tile roof, is the symbol of the relationship between the world of humans and that of the divine. In addition to the Hall of Prayers for the Abundant Harvests, visit the Altar of Circular Tertre and the Echo Wall. In the park of the temple, the locals enjoy a number of leisure activities (songs, dances, chess, calligraphy on earth, etc.). Make sure not to miss the 'corner of the love', where elderly parents exchange the information of their single children to find love.
In the evening, you'll have the opportunity to add a small Hutong tour by rickshaw or evening Chinese Kong Fu Show for an additional supplement. Overnight in Beijing. Breakfast & Lunch included.
Your morning will start with breakfast at your hotel. Take a trip to the lesser visited section of the Great Wall - Mutianyu, and enjoy a morning on this famous site located 80 km north of the city. Ascent and descent on foot (with the possibility to take a cable car payable locally). The Great Wall is one of the most spectacular structures ever built by humans and is the only one visible from space at 6700 km long and it was constructed to protect the Middle Kingdom from invasions.
Lunch will be provided locally. Visit a cloisonné workshop where you will discover the ancient technique of decorating metalwork objects. Back in town, catch a glimpse of the Olympic sites: the Bird's Nest and the Water Cube. Overnight in Beijing. Breakfast and Lunch included.
After breakfast, enjoy some free time at leisure in hotel or exploring the city, then transfer to railway station for the high-speed train to your next destination. Upon arrival in Xi’an, you will be met and greeted by your English-speaking guide at the railway station, then transfer to hotel for time at your own leisure. In the evening, you have an option of add an Evening Tang Dance Show at the next stage of the booking process. Overnight in Xi’an. Breakfast included.
Day 5: Xi'an (Breakfast & Lunch Included)
After breakfast, your first trip will be to Lintong to visit the Terracotta Army. Discovered in 1974 this site is one of the most important archaeological discoveries of the 20th century. These 6000 life-size terra cotta warriors, archers, infantrymen, horses, and bronze chariots, with their horse and chariots, were created over 2,000 years ago to accompany Emperor Qin Shihuang into the afterlife. You will then head back to the city and visit a jade factory.
Take a walk in the Muslim quarter, and visit the Great Mosque, whose Chinese style architecture is is centred in beautiful square courtyards. Why not delight in local specialties for lunch including Roujiamo, Xi'an kebab and Xi'an noodles. Overnight in Xi’an. Breakfast & Lunch included.
Day 6: Xi'an (Breakfast Included)
Following breakfast at the hotel. enjoy free time at leisure to explore the last of the city. You will then take a transfer to the airport for your departure flight towards your next destination. Upon arrival in Guilin, you will be greeted by your local English-speaking guide then will be transferred to Yangshuo by road (76 km, 2 hrs.) Upon arrival, the rest of the day is free for you rest at hotel of Yangshuo. Overnight in Yangshuo. Breakfast included.
After breakfast, take a cruise on the Li River by bamboo raft in Fuli. Located about eight kilometers east of Yangshuo, Fuli town is a charming, quiet old town with 800 years of history, and is known as the artistic town of the area with its typical colorful fans and scroll paintings. When in Fuli, you'll get to visit the Old Town and a fan workshop before returning back to Yangshuo. When back in Yangshuo, take a stroll on the commercial West Street. With a history of more than 1,400 years, sine the 80's, this street has become a bustling mix of eastern and western culture. This evening you can opt in to be entertained by an Impression Sanjie Liu Lights Show. Overnight in Yangshuo. Breakfast & Lunch included.
Day 8: Yangshuo - Guilin - Shanghai (Breakfast Included)
Following breakfast at the hotel, you will be transferred to the airport in Guilin, then depart from Guilin to your next destination by flight. Upon arrival in Shanghai, you will be welcomed and greeted by your local English-speaking guide at the airport. Then, you will take your transfer to the hotel and enjoy time at leisure in the afternoon. In the evening, you have the option of adding an Acrobatics Show at the next stage of the booking process for an additional fee. Overnight in Shanghai . Breakfast included.
Enjoy breakfast at your hotel, after which you will visit Yu Gardens - once a private garden of the Pan family in the Ming Dynasty. The Yu Garden was the largest and most prestigious of its era, in Shanghai, after it was completed. The garden is unique in its design and perfectly blends decorative halls, elaborate pavilions, glittering pools, zigzag bridges, pagodas, archways, and impressive rockeries. You then have the chance to stroll in the old town followed by a visit to a silk factory.
In the afternoon, you will get to take a visit of Tianzifang street, which is full of the interesting boutiques and local food. You will then proceed to Xintiandi, a fashionable pedestrian street composed of old-style Shikumen residences and modern architecture. Continue onto the Shanghai French Concession, filled with leafy boulevards home to cozy live-music venues and boutique wine bars. Here you will also find the Shanghai Arts and Crafts Museum and Fuxing Park. Take a stroll through the romantic streets, have a drink in a coffee bar and then continue your Nanjing Road. This is Shanghai's main shopping streets. Then, head to the BUND to have a walk on this landmark avenue for a chance to gaze over the glittering skyscrapers and historical buildings in the centre of Shanghai. In the evening, you have the chance to opt for an evening cruise on the Huangpu River. Overnight in Shanghai. Breakfast & Lunch included.
Day 10: Departure from Shanghai (Breakfast Included)
Have a last breakfast in your hotel with some time at leisure until your transfer to the airport for your flight back to the UK.

The flights included are with either a scheduled or no-frills airline and are subject to live availability and prices can change. You can choose your preferred departure times during the booking process. Please select your flight options carefully as departure and arrival airports may differ.
Transfers: Return transfers are included in this offer as per itinerary. These transfers include all land transfer arrangements in private vehicle with air-conditioning as well as internal flight between Xi'an - Guilin and Guilin - Shanghai, and a 2nd class seat on a high-speed train from Beijing - Xi’an.
