Your Destinations

Banff & Jasper National Park

The Banff & Jasper National Parks are the epitome of Canada's great, untamed wilderness. This area's rugged mountain tops, glistening lakes and roaring waterfalls are all on a monumental scale... it really needs to be seen to be believed! Through all of this natural beauty, our members may also be able to spot bears, elk, moose and wolves along with lots of other freely roaming animals.

Whistler

Crowned the number one mountain resort in North America and with enough outdoor activities to keep everyone busy year all round, Whistler is a four-season resort destination that the whole family can enjoy. Adventure calls for an alpine ski retreat atop Whistler and Blackcomb Mountains and in the summertime, hikers will lose themselves on the countless nature trails, where vegetation and views are in abundance. You are also welcome to take a step back and enjoy the laid-back ambience. This region is home to a litter of the cafes, boutiques and spas.

Victoria

As the capital of British Columbia, Victoria is placed on the southern end of Vancouver Island and is abundant in parkland. Known as North America's most English city, this picture-postcard capital boasts Victorian architecture in some of its most popular buildings, floral excellence in Butchart Gardens and an intriguing nightlife with innovative restaurants and bohemian bars.

Vancouver

The harbourside city of Vancouver is a bustling metropolis overflowing with rich diversity. Catering to any interest through the year, visitors and locals alike can take to the waters and enjoy endless year-round water sports, venture to the old-growth forests for a tree-top adventure, or sit back and delight in an evening of entertainment provided by one of the big-name acts taking the stage in downtown Vancouver.

Please note that the advice can change, and you should continue to check all advice until you travel.

Entry Requirements

You must ensure you have a valid passport to travel on.

British Citizens don’t usually need a visa to visit Canada for short periods, but you’ll need to get an Electronic Travel Authorisation before you travel.

If you’re visiting Canada you’ll need an eTA to board your flight unless you’re otherwise exempted (for example, if you have a valid Canadian visa or a permanent resident card). If you have British-Canadian dual nationality you won’t be able to apply for an eTA and you’ll need to present a valid Canadian passport to board your flight to Canada.

For more information about the eTA system, and to apply online, visit the official Canadian government website.

If you have a different type of British nationality or intend to travel for a longer period, such as for work or study, check entry requirements with the Canadian High Commission.

If you choose a flight which routes via the USA and are travelling under the Visa Waiver Programme (VWP), you must obtain an ESTA (Electronic System for Travel Authorisation) prior to departure. Passengers who have not received travel authorisation via ESTA prior to travel will be denied boarding. Please note that if you are denied from boarding, or are not allowed into the US for any reason, you will still be subject to our cancellation charges in accordance with our terms and conditions.

Health

For information about important health advice and any vaccinations required visit www.gov.uk/foreign-travel-advice and https://travelhealthpro.org.uk/countries

If vaccinations or other preventive measures are required, you will need to visit your health professional at least 8 weeks before your trip.

Please note that passport, visa and health requirements can change. It is every traveller’s responsibility to ensure they have a valid passport, any required visas, and all the necessary vaccinations/health requirements as well as adequate insurance.
