Itinerary —
Day 1 – Gatwick to Calgary & Banff
Sit back and relax on your non-stop flight from Gatwick to Calgary. On arrival in Calgary depart on the express service to Banff, journey time is approx. 1½ to 2 hours.
Overnight - Banff - Fairmont Banff Springs Hotel
Day 2 – Banff (Snowshoeing at Marble Canyon)
Marble Canyon is a great introduction to snowshoeing and provides insights into the fur trade and its impact on western Canada. Snowshoe on an easy trail through the Vermilion River Valley while listening to stories of Banff’s indigenous people, the explorers and the fur traders who lived in and travelled through the Rockies, until you reach Marble Canyon, a cultural treasure within Canada’s National Parks. This tour covers mostly flat terrain and you will have a chance to search for snowshoe hare, moose, and wolf tracks while exploring. Finally, near Marble Canyon you’ll be rewarded with a unique Canadian treat - hot maple taffy!

Day 3 – Banff (free day)
A free day to explore Banff, perhaps wander the shops, visit the renowned hotel spa or hit the slopes for a ski day (equipment & lift pass not included).

Day 4 – Banff to Jasper
Travel north along the Icefields Parkway to Jasper today. Massive snow covered mountains, frozen waterfalls and broad-reaching valleys will be the highlights of this spectacular drive through glacier country.

Day 5 – Jasper (Maligne Canyon Ice Walk)
An opportunity to view the wonders of Maligne Canyon from the ground up! The canyon has withstood 10,000 years of erosion and has created a 50m gorge. Certified guides will lead groups of no more than 12 along the frozen canyon floor and its ice-clad limestone walls. Super soles and winter boots will keep guests warm and secure as they explore this wonderland of rock and ice.
Overnight Jasper - Fairmont Jasper Park Lodge
Day 6 – Jasper to Lake Louise (Evening Sleigh Ride)
Today you travel southward via the spectacular Icefields Parkway back to Lake Louise. This evening, a wonderful 40 minute sleigh ride takes place beside the lake. Please note: The sleigh ride operates mid-December - mid-March.

Day 7 – Lake Louise (free day)
Lake Louise is the most famous glacial lake in the Canadian Rockies and one of the most beautiful in the Western Hemisphere. The lake, named for Princess Louise Caroline Alberta, daughter of Queen Victoria, is 1,730 metres above sea level. Spend the day exploring Lake Louise.

Day 8 – Lake Louise to Calgary
Mid-morning depart Lake Louise, following the Trans-Canada Highway, depart the Rocky Mountains to the Great Central Plains that roll to the east for 2,000 kilometres and extend as far south as Mexico. Arrive at Calgary Airport at approx. 2.30pm. Your overnight flight departs at 6.05pm.
Day 9 – Arrive London Gatwick
Your flight arrives back into Gatwick at 10.35am this morning.
