Liège

Dubbed “the town of a thousand bell towers, the “Athens of the North” and, even more frequently “the glowing city”, this town of 200,000 inhabitants (600,000 with the agglomeration, one million in the Province) is internationally renowned for its glorious industrial past (coal mining, metallurgy, arms manufacture….) but also for the friendliness of its inhabitants.

Economically, while continuing to excel in the traditional activities metal and electricity, Liège is turning today, with its University and science park, its "groupement de redéploiement" and its development agency spurring it on, towards logistics and transport, the life sciences, aerospace and information technology.

Historically, Liège was for a long time the heart of a nearly thousand-year-old Principality and performed so heroically during the 14-18 war that it was the first city in the world to collectively receive the french Légion d’honneur. 

Grand Prix

The Belgian Grand Prix is a huge draw for visitors who love the drama of the races. Since inception, it has been known for its unpredictable weather and high drama hairpin bends. A must visit for any F1 fanatic.

General Admission Ticket provides the chance to roam around and explore the different areas of the circuit at a good value for money. Some good spots are on the Kemmel straight after Eau rouge, after the Bruxelles turn and at the Pouhon turn. Kemmel straight offers a great view for the race and plenty of overtaking. Watching from the hill overlooking Pouhon corner is a must-see for any F1 fan. And from the F1 village, located at the foot of Eau Rouge, you can see the cars flying up the hill. Giant screens are also available around the track.

Day 1: Friday 30 August 2019 - Arrive in Liege
Depart London St Pancras for Liege via Brussels. Upon arrival at Brussels Midi station, you will take a connecting train to Liege. Trains depart Brussels to Liege approximately every 30 minutes. On arrival in Liege you will be met by a Gullivers' representative and transferred to your hotel. Enjoy three nights on a bed and breakfast basis at your hotel in Liege.

For those attending Qualifying Day, after breakfast, our escorted luxury coach will take you to the circuit. At the end of the day’s events, the coach will take you back to your hotel. Due to traffic around the track the transfer time can be over an hour each way.

Day 4: Monday 2 September 2019 - Depart Liege
Make the most of your remaining time in Liege before we transfer you to Liege station for your journey home. Depart Liege for Brussels. Upon arrival at Brussels Midi station, you will take the Eurostar to London St Pancras.
