Your Itinerary —
Day 1: Hanoi – Arrival (D)
Flight arrival in the morning.
After a long flight, you will arrive at our nearly thousand-year-old capital – Hanoi. The guide will meet you at Noi Bai Airport and transfer you to the hotel in the city centre (Hotel check-in time is 14.00. Early check-in is not included).
You then are free on your own to relax before having the welcome dinner in a local restaurant and overnight in Hanoi.
Day 2: Hanoi – Orientation (B/L)
After breakfast, the day starts with a visit to the complex dedicated to Ho Chi Minh – the nation’s founder, containing Ho Chi Minh’s Mausoleum (viewed from outside on Mondays, Fridays and afternoons as closed), and house on stilts. This complex also comprises the One Pillar Pagoda, whose origins date back to the foundation of the city.
Continue your trip to Temple of Literature – the first university of Vietnam before having lunch in a local restaurant. In the afternoon, visit Vietnam Museum of Ethnology which focuses on the 54 officially recognized ethnic groups in Vietnam and take a cyclo (rickshaws)/electric car ride around the Old Quarter streets which were named after the specific goods once offered for sale at these places. Stop at Thuy Ta next to Hoan Kiem Lake to taste an ice cream before transferring to enjoy the traditional water puppet show.

After breakfast at your hotel, you will be free until check out time and meet our driver (no guide) for a short drive to the airport. You will board a flight to Ho Chi Minh City. Upon arrival, you're met by our guide and transfer to hotel in city centre.

Day 13: Ho Chi Minh – Visits (B/L)
Pick up at your hotel and transfer to visit the moving War Remnants Museum which presents a partial, but riveting, view of the American War, as it is known in Vietnam.
Continue to the Reunification Palace, the former residence of the Indochina Governor-General and later President of the Republic of Southern Vietnam until the fall of Saigon on April 30, 1975. Have lunch at a local restaurant. In the afternoon, continue to visit the Jade Pagoda (Ngoc Hoang Pagoda) and Notre Dame Cathedral before your last stop at the bustling Ben Thanh Market.
Back to the hotel to relax.

Day 14: Ho Chi Minh – Can Gio Nature and Biosphere Reserve (B/L)
After breakfast, 08.00 you will be picked up then transferred to Can Gio. Upon arrival (around 10 a.m.), visit the Monkey Island located in the Can Gio Mangrove Forest which was recognised as the International Biosphere Reserve on January 21, 2000, by UNESCO. You then visit the Can Gio Museum, with archaeological, unique flora and fauna. Continue your tour by a boat trip to the mangrove forest and attend the Rung Sac guerrilla camp to see crocodiles, wildcats, otters, pythons, playful monkeys and more. Then you will be transferred to Beach 30-4, where you can see Vung Tau on the left and Tien Giang on your right. Take your time to relax before having lunch at the Carrot restaurant facing the East Sea.
In the afternoon, drive to Vam Sat eco-tourism region then take a boat trip crossing the typical mangrove flora to visit Vam Sat. You can experience the crab and crocodile fishing on the boat then transfer to the crab ponds to learn their cycle of life and how to collect the best crabs to eat. You will enjoy seeing a variety of wild animals and admire the Vam Sat bird sanctuary. Last stop at the crocodile farm to learn about the crocodile spawning process and visit the new fangs.
Return to Ho Chi Minh at the end of the afternoon.

Day 15: Ho Chi Minh – Departure (B)
After breakfast, free time until transfer to the airport (no guide) for your flight back home.

Visa Information —
Passport validity
Your passport should be valid for a minimum of 6 months on the date you enter Vietnam for you to be eligible for the 15 day visa exemption.
For periods of stay longer than 15 days, entry into Vietnam may be refused if your passport has less than 1 month validity from the date your Vietnamese visa expires.
Visas
Until 30 June 2018 ‘British Citizen’ passport holders travelling for tourism or business can enter Vietnam for up to a maximum of 15 days without a visa. If you have a different type of British nationality – for example ‘British national (overseas)’- you’ll need to get a visa or an e-visa before entering Vietnam.
The below should be added if the offer is 15 days or over:
For visits of up to 30 days, you can get an e-visa online before you travel. Use of the e-visa is limited to certain entry/exit points which you must select at the time of application. If you don’t have fixed travel plans, consider applying for a regular single entry visa from the nearest Vietnamese Embassy, which allows more flexibility.
