Your Itinerary In Detail —
Day 1: Arrival in Hanoi
On arrival at Noi Bai international airport, you will be welcomed by our English-speaking guide, then transfered to your hotel in the city centre (note: check-in at 2pm).

DAY 2: HANOI
Breakfast at the hotel. Visit the complex dedicated to Ho Chi Minh (outside), the nation's founder and known to Vietnamese as "Uncle Ho". Visit the One Pillar Pagoda, built in 1049 of wood on a single stone pillar, designed to resemble a lotus flower, a symbol of purity, and then the Tran Quoc Pagoda, Hanoi's oldest pagoda, located on the Western Lake.
In the afternoon, visit the Temple of Literature, Vietnam's first university. Stroll through the narrow streets of the Old Quarter, known for its "36 streets with 36 products". As they have existed since the 15th century, the Old Quarter's 36 narrow streets bear names that reflect the trade that once took place there: silk street, rice street, paper street, lacquerware street and jewellery street. Tasting egg coffee, a Hanoi speciality.
Finish your day with a stroll around picturesque Hoan Kiem Lake, the "Lake of the Returned Sword", named after a magical sword once used by China's most revered heroes to defeat the Ming Dynasty, which was then returned to the lake's golden turtle god.

DAY 3: HANOI

Day 4: Hanoi - Ha Long Bay
Enjoy breakfast at your hotel. Between 7.30 and 7.45 am, the driver will pick you up in the lobby of your hotel. You will be taken by shared shuttle bus (without a guide) to Ha Long Bay, which is a World Heritage Site. On arrival, board one of the bay's most luxurious cruises, enjoy a welcome drink, settle into your cabin and have lunch as the boat slowly sails into the bay (Ha Long Bay or Lan Ha Bay). Then cruise past the rock formations and discover the beauty of the bay on a series of fascinating excursions.

DAY 5: HA LONG BAY - HANOI - DA NANG - HOI AN
Watch the sunrise in the morning and practice Tai Chi on the terrace. You cruise across the bay while having breakfast. You'll pass several rocks and islets, caves and fish farming villages. Disembarkation will be between 10.30 and 11.00. The driver will transfer you to Noi Bai airport for the flight to Da Nang. Upon arrival, you will be transferred to your hotel (without guide).

DAY 6: HOI AN
After breakfast, the guide and driver will pick you up at your hotel around 8am and take you to the My Son sanctuary, the holy land of the Champa kingdom.
If time permits, visit a local fish market and then a village where the famous nuoc mam (sauce made from fermented fish) is produced.
Arrive in time to attend a traditional performance by Cham dancers as an introduction to their culture. You will visit a group of ruins of Hindu Cham temples and relics in the My Son Valley, a Unesco World Heritage Site.
In the afternoon, explore Hoi An on a walking tour of the city and its beautiful harbour. Follow the narrow streets lined with houses of Chinese, Japanese, French and European architecture and visit the many tourist attractions: the 400-year-old Japanese bridge, the Phuc Kien Meeting Hall, the local fish market, etc. Visit art galleries and tailor shops and why not even have some items of clothing tailor-made!
Stay in Hoi An.
Day 7: Hoi An
Enjoy a free day to explore the city at your own pace, or take part in one of our optional excursions (incurring an extra charge).

Enjoy an excursion to Ninh Binh - home to stunning karst mountains, misty caves and historical relics and recognised as a UNESCO World Heritage Site.
Continue your journey to Bich Dong which was conferred by a king as the ""second most beautiful cave in Vietnam"". The cave is adorned with magnificent stalactites and stalagmites of different shapes and colours. Climb up Ngu Nhac Son (Buddha Palm Mountain) to enjoy the panoramic view created by the mountains, rivers, pagodas and temples.
Known as "Ha Long Bay on land", Tam Coc ("three caves" in Vietnamese) was formed by the Ngo Dong River flowing through a mountain. This afternoon, a qualified local rower will take you on a magnificent waterway lined with rice fields. Enjoy spectacular views of the karst formation as you explore these caves amidst towering mountains. Disembark the boat and follow a village path to reach the Thai Vi temple. Enjoy the beautiful rural scenery as you pass endless rice fields and the mysterious cave with a sacred shrine inside.
Return to Ha Noi in the late afternoon.

Excursion to the Mekong Delta (Ben Tre Province) with an English-speaking guide
Enjoy a visit to the iconic Mekong Delta, and discover local the richness of life on its banks.
Upon arrival, board your private wooden boat and begin cruising the Mekong while sampling local tropical fruits on board.The cruise takes you into the heart of the city with some floating vendors lining their boats in the middle of the river with their agricultural produce hanging from bamboo poles. It's not the biggest floating market, but it gives you an insight into life on the river, one of the Mekong Delta's tourist magnets.
Get off the boat and take a bike for a leisurely stroll through the villages off the beaten track. Take the opportunity to visit local families who make traditional products such as rice leaves for spring rolls, sewn coconut leaves and local hats. A lunch of Mekong delta specialities is served at a local's house before you board a boat for a trip along the narrow canals of the Mekong. After bidding farewell to your crew, return to Saigon.
