This morning, set off for the Thanh Toan Covered Bridge, a local market and the surroundings of this authentic village. Next, take a boat trip on the Perfume River through the charming city of Hue.
Disembark your boat and visit the Thien Mu pagoda, one of the oldest architectural structures for religious worship in Hue. Built in 1601, this seven-storey pagoda perched atop a hill overlooking the Perfume River is one of Vietnam's most recognisable icons. Enjoy an included lunch in a restaurant.
This afternoon, visit the Imperial Citadel, located at the centre of Hue's UNESCO World Heritage monument complex. Enter through the imposing main gate to observe the magnificent architecture and gardens while your guide explains the events and intrigue surrounding the former royal court. Some sections suffered the worst damage during the Vietnam War, but most are incredibly well preserved.
Built according to the principle of "Feng Shui", Hue's charming garden houses were the main living quarters of mandarins and royalty under the Nguyen dynasty. Drive to the An Hien garden house, originally the residence of the 18th daughter of Emperor Duc Duc. Facing the Perfume River, the house was designed as a typical model of Hue garden architecture, and strongly influenced by the principle of feng shui, consisting of three compartments and two lean-tos, located almost in the centre.
All the interior framework structures are made of richly carved wood. The house is surrounded by a lush Feng Shui garden filled with flowers and fruit trees, including lychees, persimmons and pears. After exploring the house, return to your hotel in Hue.

Enjoy a scenic drive to Mount Phnom Kulen, considered Cambodia's holiest mountain, has deep roots in Khmer tradition, dating back to 802 AD when Jayavarman II proclaimed Cambodia's independence from Java.
You visit two remarkable sites, the Preah Ang Thom pagoda with its giant reclining Buddha, and the 1,000 lingas carved in the "valley of the Lingas" or "river of the Lingas", carved with sculptures of gods and Hindu symbols, a spiritual site revered by the Cambodian people. Stop at a waterfall and take a refreshing bath. Enjoy lunch at a local restaurant.
Continue your afternoon visit to the floating village of Kampong Phluk, one of the Tonle Sap Lake's most impressive and unspoilt permanent installations. Home to over 3,000 villagers, this charming village allows you to observe the submerged mangrove forest and lakeside village life up close. Climb aboard the local boat for a relaxing and informative cruise. Immerse yourself in nature and get a glimpse of the diverse lifestyle of the villages on the lake as your boat glides between mangroves, houses on stilts, the floating school and the police station.
