7-Night Tour

Day 1: Arrival in Hanoi
Upon arrival in Hanoi, you will be transfered to your hotel for a day of leisure and relaxation following your long flight. Overnight in Hotel in Hanoi.

Day 2: Hanoi (Breakfast Included)
After breakfast, you'll take a short drive past the landmarks of city, including the historic Opera house, the French Quarter, the Ho Chi Minh Mausoleum and the Tran Quoc pagoda. Stop to visit the complex dedicated to Ho Chi Minh – the nation’s founder, containing Ho Chi Minh’s Mausoleum (viewed from outside on Mondays, Fridays), and houses on stilts. This complex also comprises the One Pillar Pagoda, whose origins date back to the foundation of city. You will then continue to visit the Museum of Ethnology which presents the recognition of Vietnam as a multi-ethnic country and socio-cultural diversity (this museum is closed every Monday and the visits will be replaced by Thang Long Citadel). From here, you will experience Hoang Hoa Tham Street, which is full of bonsai, flower and pet shops before enjoying a walking tour through hidden alleys and merchant streets in the Old Quarter. Optional: Home hosted dinner in a local home (includes transfer & home meal). Overnight in Hotel in Hanoi.
Day 3: Hanoi - Ha Long Bay (Breakfast, Lunch and Dinner Included)
After breakfast at the hotel, between 07:30 – 08:15 am, a driver will pick up you from your hotel. Take a shuttle bus transfer to Ha Long Bay, a UNESCO World Heritage Area of outstanding natural beauty. Arrive at the boat pier and embark on your cruise. These cruises offer the most memorable experience in Ha Long Bay. Let your vacation start with a delicious lunch on board, followed by activities such as a visit to the floating market and grottoes in a bamboo boat. Return to the cruise and enjoy a beautiful sunset across the bay. Dinner will be served on the sundeck. Stay overnight on boat in middle of the Bay. Please Note: Cruise itinerary is subject to change due to weather condition and each cruise itself. Detailed cruise itineraries with timing will be provided once the booking is confirmed. Overnight on Boat in Ha Long Bay.
Day 4: Ha Long Bay - Hanoi (Breakfast/Brunch Included)
Watch the sunrise and practice Tai Chi on the sundeck. Follow with a light breakfast, which will be served in the dining room and join in with more activities. Head back to the main boat to relax and check out at the reception (please put all your luggage at the outside of your cabin door, and a crew member will help to bring the luggage on land) Brunch is served in the restaurant before you disembark at 10:30 – 11:00 am. Take a shuttle bus transfer back to Hanoi, and spend the rest of the day at leisure. Overnight in Hotel in Hanoi.

Day 5: Hanoi - Ho Chi Minh City (Breakfast Included)
Following breakfast at your hotel, you will enjoy a transfer to the airport for a morning flight to Ho Chi Minh City. On arrival, transfer to the city for a sightseeing tour which offers a good mix of both famous attractions and lesser known markets and sites in this vibrant, fast-paced city. Head out to visit the Central Post office, a well preserved remnant of French colonial times and perhaps the grandest post office in all of Southeast Asia. Located next door to Notre Dame Cathedral, the two cultural sites can be visited together and offer visitors a chance to imagine life in Vietnam during the times of the Indochinese Empire. Continue to the Reunification Palace, the former residence of the Indochina Governor General and later President of the Republic of Southern Vietnam until the fall of Saigon in April 30, 1975. The final stop will be the unforgettable Jade Emperor Pagoda. The pagoda is filled with smoky incense and fantastic carved figurines. It was built by the Cantonese community around the turn of the 20th century and is still buzzing with worshippers. Spend the evening enjoying free time to relax or explore the hustle and bustle of city’s nightlife. Overnight in Hotel in Ho Chi Minh City.
Day 6: Ho Chi Minh City - Mekong Delta - Cai Be - Homestay (Breakfast, Lunch and Dinner Included)
After breakfast at the hotel, drive 2.5 hours to Cai Be town. Head to Tân Phong island to enjoy cycling or walking on the village paths, watching local farms and gaining the opportunity to see farmers picking up their fruits in the ancestral way on the Mekong Delta. You will also have the chance to see how farmers make rice-net for spring-rolls, sew coconut-leaves for cottage roofs, and how they weave dried water-hyacinthes to make many products: baskets, bags, hats, wallets, shoes etc. In addition, you can walk to the Mekong Garden to enjoy fruits when listening to traditional music. Enkoy a boat to the local garden for lunch. After lunch, the rowing boat will take you deeper into the countryside on smaller canals where you can enjoy peaceful time. It is so interesting to see traditional houses made of wood and palm tree leaves and see some activities of the local farmers with an opportunity to meet them and learn how they catch fish. Enjoy some fruit and tea while listening to traditional music at a local home. Check into your homestay, cook some dishes with the owners and enjoy dinner and an overnight stay. Overnight stay in Homestay in Cai Be.
Day 7: Homestay - Vinh Long - Ho Chi Minh City (Breakfast Included)
Enjoy breakfast and walk along the village streets enjoying the fresh air in the morning. Take a boat trip to visit the local workshops where you can see how to make rice paper, coconut candy and popcorn. Your boat will travel along the Mekong River viewing many floating cages which farm fish. Then, you will turn on the My An canal to see many brick kilns on both sides of the canal, and to the Hòa Tịnh canal, where you will walk in the peaceful village and learn how locals make bricks, and weave bamboo trays and bamboo baskets. Your boat will continue to another village so you can learn how to make conical hats by hand and rice paper for rice noodles. Then you will visit the Vinh Long market in the town. This is the best place for you to take pictures of fish, shrimps, prawns, crabs, snakes, rice-field rats, tropical fruits, vegetables and more! The cruise will end at Vinh Long and you will then drive back to Ho Chi Minh City. Overnight in Hotel in Ho Chi Minh.

Day 8: Ho Chi Minh City - Departure
After breakfast, enjoy free time until you're transferred to the airport for your return flight home.

4-Night Extension to Phu Quoc

Entry Requirements 


You must ensure you have a valid passport to travel on. 


Until 30 June 2021, ‘British Citizen’ passport holders travelling for tourism can enter Vietnam for up to a maximum of 15 days (counting the dates of entry and exit) without a visa. If you have a different type of British nationality – for example ‘British national (overseas)’ you’ll need to get a visa before entering Vietnam. 

For longer durations of 16 to 30 days (for example if you arrive in Vietnam on 23rd August and leave on 7th September), you must get an e-visa online before you travel. The use of an e-visa is limited to certain entry/exit points which you must select at the time of application. E-visas are only applicable to ‘British Citizen’ passport holders.
