Your Itinerary in Detail —
Day 1-4
Day 1: Pick up your rental car at the airport, visit the city, and settle into your hotel for the first night.
Day 2: Take an early start and drive past the famous Hoover Dam, very close to Vegas, and join a stretch of Route 66 to the splendid Grand Canyon. Travel between the cacti of Arizona and old abandoned gas stations. Drive through the small town of Williams, before reaching the entrance of the Park.
Day 3: This morning, we recommend flying over the Grand Canyon when the sun rises, the light is magical! Departing from the Grand Canyon, you will travel approximately 100km along the banks of the Canyon with spectacular views of the Colorado River, before reaching the sacred land of the Navajos: Monument Valley.
Day 4: Enjoy an early departure towards Lake Powell, where stunning and mysterious landscapes await you, great beauty at the edge of this lake of an intense and pure blue contrasted by the red of the cliffs. We recommend visiting Antelope Canyon with a Navajo Indian guide, this excursion is one of the must-do's in the American West.
Day 5-6
Day 5: Head to Bryce Canyon National Park, this incredible natural amphitheatre of glowing hues carved into the rock by nature. Enjoy a short hike to descend between these "fairy chimneys", the hoodoos.
Day 6: Your next stop is Zion National Park, a little lesser known and surely Utah's most impressive. These gigantic cliffs will make you feel very small! Many possibilities to visit the park: a free trolley from Springdale offers several stops in the park, hikes from 1km to 26km for the more athletic, or even in 4x4 with a guide to climb and appreciate a unique sunset on the cliffs of Zion.
Day 7-9
Day 7-8: The roadtrip is coming to an end. Enjoy one last breath of fresh air in Zion Park before joining the Nevada desert, and its star city "Las Vegas". Pass through ghost towns and Mormon villages before seeing the twinkling city lights! Make the most of your last nights to relax by the swimming pool, or go see a Cirque du Soleil show.
Day 9: Last hours in Las Vegas before returning your car to the airport.
