Your Itinerary
Day 1: Arrival in Zanzibar
Upon arrival, you will be transferred to your first hotel where you can unwind after your flight (approx. travel time: 20 minutes).
Day 2: Zanzibar - Selous National Park
After breakfast, drive back to the airport and catch a short flight to the mainland. Continue to Selous National Park where you will enjoy a game drive before arriving at your tented camp in time for a hot lunch. Enjoy another game drive in the afternoon, returning to the camp in the late evening.
Day 3: Selous National Park
Enjoy breakfast then depart on a full day game drive with a picnic lunch. Spend the day admiring this park's impressive scenery while you keep an eye out for the big five.
Day 4: Selous National Park - Zanzibar
You will be transferred to the airstrip after breakfast where you will catch a short flight to Zanzibar where you will continue to Michamvi Sunset Bay Resort.
Tausi Palace Hotel
You will be staying 1 night in a Standard Room with breakfast included.

Optional Excursions
You may choose to add the following excursions at the next stage of the booking process.
A full day excursion on a traditional sailing dhow, Safari Blue starts from Fumba, the perfect starting point to explore Menai Bay, an official Conservation Area. Home to beautiful uninhabited islands, the area is stunning, frequented by humpback and bottlenose dolphins.
On arrival at Fumba, clients are given a briefing on Safari Blue and then you board your dhow and you’re off to explore the bay. Dolphins are sighted on approximately 90% of trips. The anchor is dropped at the Kwale sandbank, where sunshades are set up and guests have the chance to go snorkelling in the coral reefs.
After snorkelling, you’ll be offered refreshments to whet your appetite before heading to Kwale Island, for lunch under the tamarind trees. Drinks are served throughout the day and lunch is a buffet of grilled fish, lobster, calamari, chicken and rice, with a tasting of tropical fruits.
Step back in time as you wander through the atmospheric narrow, labyrinth alleyways of ancient Stone Town. This fascinating UNESCO heritage site is atmospheric and filled with historic wonders and magnificent Arab/Indian architecture which has hardly changed for hundreds of years. Browse through the famous shopping district where you find handcrafts to take home for you treasure as you remember your experience in Zanzibar for a lifetime.
For many centuries Zanzibar has been infamous for its spices earning it the name “Spice Island”. Visit the countryside where you will have a chance to learn about and experience the exotic spices Zanzibar is famous for including cloves, nutmeg, cardamom, cinnamon, vanilla, turmeric and more. Enjoy touring through tropical greenery where you will taste a variety of delicious tropical island fruits like mango, pineapple, banana, jackfruit, lychee and durian.
Jozani Forest Reserve is one of the largest mature forests in Zanzibar where you are guaranteed to see troops of Red Colobus. Unique to only Zanzibar and one of the rarest monkeys in the world, the endangered Red Colobus Monkey is a joy and privilege to witness. This lush, tropical forest is surrounded by mangroves and salt marshes filled with diverse trees & fauna. You may even spot other species like the Syke’s monkey and duiker.
