5 night itinerary:

Touch down in Stockholm and make your way into the city – clean, cool and effortlessly welcoming. Check in to your hotel and get your bearings with a stroll or a strong Swedish coffee.

DAY 2: STOCKHOLM

Kick off with a classic Scandinavian breakfast, then hit the streets at your own rhythm. Set across 14 islands where lake meets sea, Stockholm is all serene waterways, leafy parks and sharp design. Lose yourself in Gamla Stan’s tangle of cobbled lanes, past ochre townhouses, royal landmarks and quirky museums. When it’s time to slow down, head for a local sauna or soak in a spa. Cap the day with a golden-hour walk along Monteliusvägen before boarding the overnight train to Kiruna - a classic Swedish journey into the Arctic, where you’ll bunk down in your own private 3 bed compartment, as forests and frozen lakes roll past your window.

Roll into Kiruna shortly after 9am and transfer by bus to one of Sweden’s most iconic stays: the original Icehotel in Jukkasjärvi. Built entirely from ice and snow, this Arctic landmark is part art gallery, part dreamscape. Each Art Suite is individually designed by artists from around the globe, turning your room into a temporary sculpture. Grab a drink in the Ice Bar, explore the frozen exhibition hall, and soak up the surreal beauty of your surroundings.

DAY 4: KIRUNA

Fuel up with breakfast, before designing your day as you please. In winter, opt to go full Arctic with dog-sledding, snowmobiling, skiing or chasing the northern lights; spring brings rafting, cycling, fishing and long golden evenings under the midnight sun. Relax and recharge in the soothing sauna, before stepping back into the crisp Arctic air and heading to your ice-carved room - wrapped in reindeer hides and silence - for a night unlike any other.

DAY 5: DEPARTURE FROM KIRUNA

Enjoy your last breakfast at the hotel before being transferred to Kiruna airport according to your departure time.

Please be advised: if you opt for the 5 night escape, you will enjoy an extra night in Stockholm to be spent as you wish.

DAY 1: ARRIVAL IN SWEDEN (either 21st or 28th of December)

Arrive in Sweden’s stylish capital, where festive lights and crisp winter air set the scene. After checking in, wander the cobbled lanes of Gamla Stan under glowing garlands, browse the Skansen Christmas Market, or tuck into a hearty Nordic meal at a cosy local spot.

DAY 2: STOCKHOLM - KIRUNA (either 22nd or 29th of December)

Spend your morning soaking up Stockholm’s wintry charm before heading to Central Station. As darkness falls, board the overnight train bound for the Arctic Circle. Drift off in your private compartment as snowy forests and frozen lakes slide silently past the window.

DAY 3: KIRUNA  (either 23rd or 30th of December)

Wake up in Kiruna and travel by road to Jukkasjärvi, where the legendary Icehotel awaits. Check in to your cosy room, then spend the day exploring a world made of ice - wander through glistening Art Suites, sip cocktails in the Icebar, and marvel at sculptures that melt back into nature each spring.

DAY 4: KIRUNA (either 24th or 31st of December)

Today, an action packed day awaits. This morning, channel your inner ice artist with a hands on sculpting session led by local creatives. This evening, rev up for a night time adventure deep into the frozen wilds - glide across lakes and through snow draped forests in search of the aurora borealis.

DAY 5: KIRUNA  (either 25th of December or 1st of January)

Start this special day with a husky-powered dog sled ride through Lapland’s pristine wilderness. Wrapped in blankets as the sled glides through snow-covered landscapes, it’s hard to imagine a more magical way to spend the day. To top it off, tonight, you’ll sleep in one of the Icehotel’s signature Ice Rooms - surrounded by artful ice walls and reindeer hides.

DAY 6: DEPARTURE FROM KIRUNA  (either 26th of December or 2nd of January)

After breakfast, it’s time to say goodbye to the icy magic of Jukkasjärvi. You’ll transfer to Kiruna Airport for your onward journey, taking with you the silence, snow, and northern light memories of a festibe stay spent at the top of the world.
