DAY 1: Waikkal
Your journey starts as you arrive in Sri Lanka, welcomed by the warm, tropical breeze at Bandaranaike International Airport. Once you've completed immigration procedures and retrieved your luggage, our airport representative will be waiting for you at the arrival lounge with a sign. There, you'll also meet your tour guide, who will accompany you throughout your journey from Day 01 to Day 08.
Then your private transfer will be ready to whisk you away through lush, green landscapes to your charming retreat in Waikkal. As the sun dips below the horizon, painting the sky with amber and gold, you'll check into your hotel. Sigiriya, the Lion’s Rock, is a captivating ancient fortress and palace perched high in central Dambulla. Surrounded by lush gardens and shimmering reservoirs, this UNESCO-designated 8th Wonder of the World dazzles with its exquisite frescoes, reminiscent of India’s Ajanta Caves. Climbing to the top, which takes about 2 to 3 hours, offers breathtaking views and a journey through history that’s nothing short of magical.
