Your itinerary in detail —
Day 1: Arrival
- One of our representatives will greet you in the arrivals hall with a sign with your name on it and guide you to your transfer vehicle.
- You`ll be accompanied immediately to your hotel.
- Settling into your hotel and free time.
Dinner and overnight at the hotel in Negombo
DAY 2: DAMBULLA (130 miles)
- Breakfast at the hotel in Negombo before transferring to Dambulla.
- Visit the cave temple of Dambulla - also known as the Golden Temple of Dambulla. Consisting of five caves and a picturesque façade carved into the side of a steep rock face, it houses ancient paintings depicting the life of Buddha.
- The famous Dambulla Temple, a UNESCO World Heritage Site, the Ironwood Forest and the Rose Quartz mountain range are all breathtaking historical sites in this which UNESCO has designated as the country's 'Cultural Triangle'.
Optional activity: Jeep safari, departing from the national park ticket office at 2.30pm (duration: approxmately 3 hours).

DAY 3: DAMBULLA
- Enjoy a picturesque catamaran ride in a reservoir, a relaxing excursion with plenty of nature and wildlife under the guidance of an expert.
- Discover traditional village life and admire the market garden crops of the region.
- Enjoy a glimpse of daily life in a typical house, where a traditional lunch will be served (included).
- Should you wish to climb the Lion's Rock fortress of Sigiriya, you can do so in the evening around 4 PM - the ideal time for the climb (optional at extra cost).
- Your driver-guide will accompany you to the top of the fortress.
- Alternatively, you can return to the hotel and relax.

Day 4 - 6 : Kandy
- Opt for an early morning hike with a guide and climb to Pidurangala Rock to see the sunrise. This incredible 360-degree viewpoint is located opposite the world-famous Sigiriya Lion Rock. Packed breakfast provided.
- Transfer to Kandy where lunch can be enjoyed at a local restaurant on the way (not included).
- En route visit Matale Ayurvedic Village.

DAY 5: KANDY
- Visit the Temple of the Sacred Tooth, which is considered to be of monumental imporance from an architectural heritage standpoint.
- Visit Kandy by Tuk-Tuk (approximately 20-minute tour) and enjoy some shopping in town.
- Rejoin your guide and continue the rest of the tour.
- Visit the Batik and Woodcarving Centre. Discover local arts and crafts, including gemstone cutting.
- Enjoy a late-afternoon Kandyan Dance Cultural Show (Duration: approximately 2 hours )
- Return to your hotel by 7 PM.

DAY 6: HAPUTALE (62 miles)
- Check out from the hotel and transfer to Hautale via Nuwara-Eliya.
- En route visit a Ceylon tea plantation and tea factory and enjoy a tea picking experience.
- Enjoy a scenic train ride from Nanu Oya to Ella (approximately 3-4 hours).
- Travelling by train in Sri Lanka is a unique experience. The railway line stretches across the picturesque hills, the countryside magically unspoilt, guaranteeing an unforgettable journey*.
* Please note: It is possible that the day of the train ride and/or the itinerary may be changed. This can occur when a train is overcrowded and/or too late.
Dinner and overnight in Haputale
Day 7: Tissamaharama
- After breakfast, check out of the hotel and travel to Yala.
- Your pre-sunrise hike to Ella Rock begins on the railway line and continues along the countryside and plantations. It ends when you reach the peak (approximately 4-5 hours), where you can enjoy a packed breakfast. Enjoy views of the green valley below and the lush green mountain peaks all around.
Optional activity: After visiting Ella Rock, you have the option to embark on a jeep safari in Yala National Park, accompanied by a guide (Departure from the national park ticket office: 2.30 PM. Duration: approximately 3 hours).
Dinner and overnight stay at the hotel in Tissamaharama
DAY 8, 9, 10, 11, 12, 13 OR 14: INDURUWA
- After breakfast, check out from the hotel and transfer to your selected beach hotel in Induruwa (beach extension).
- Enjoy a few days of sun, sea and beach in a fantastic location.
DAY 11, 13 OR 15: DEPARTURE
You will be collected by your driver around 5 hours before departure.

Kandy
Kandy is the former royal capital of Ceylon, and was listed as a world heritage site by UNESCO in 1988. The city is renowned for its iconic Temple of the Tooth, which is said to contain the tooth of Buddha. Don't miss the gorgeous botanical gardens of Royal Botanic Gardens in Peradeniya, with its astonishing collection of orchids, just 5.5 km to the west of Kandy city.
Negombo
Negombo is a coastal city located about 37km north of Colombo, Sri Lanka's commercial capital. It is home to a large fishing community that has been in operation for centuries, making it a hub for fresh seafood. The city is also famous for its long, sandy beach, which attracts visitors from all over the world. Negombo has a rich history, and visitors can explore landmarks such as the Dutch Fort and the St. Mary's Church. Additionally, the city is located close to Bandaranaike International Airport, making it a convenient place to start or end a trip to Sri Lanka.
