DAY 1: ARRIVAL IN NEGOMBO
- Upon arrival at Bandaranaike International Airport, you'll meet your tour guide at the arrival lounge, who will accompany you throughout your tour in Sri Lanka.

DAY 2: NEGOMBO - HATTON
- After breakfast at the hotel, prepare for your transfer to Hatton.

DAY 4: HATTON - TANGALLE
- After breakfast, check out of the hotel and transfer to Tangalle.

- Witness the 2:30 pm feeding session and enjoy watching the playful antics of these gentle giants in their natural environment, while learning about elephant conservation in Sri Lanka.

Time: Sri Lanka is +5.30 GMT. The island spans 65,000 sq. km and has a population of around 22 million.
Religions: Approximately 70% of the population are Buddhists, with Christians, Hindus, and Muslims making up the remainder.
Languages: Sinhalese and Tamil are the official languages. English is widely spoken throughout the island.
Currency: The Sri Lankan Rupee (LKR) is used. Notes: Rs. 10, 20, 50, 100, 500, 1000, 5000. Coins: Rs. 1, 5, 10. We recommend exchanging currency at banks or authorised exchange offices for the best rates.
Voltage: 220–240 V.
ATMs & Credit Cards: ATMs are widely available. Major credit cards (MasterCard, Visa, American Express) are accepted at hotels, shops, restaurants, and malls, but many small outlets prefer cash.
Climate: Tropical, warm in most regions. Mountain areas may drop to 14°C in the evenings.
Attire: Comfortable cotton clothing and flat shoes are ideal. Shorts, t-shirts, and sandals are acceptable, but when visiting temples, shoulders and knees must be covered. Remove shoes and headwear before entering temples. Smart casual attire is expected at dinner. Sunglasses, sunscreen, and mosquito repellent are recommended in tropical areas.
Photography: Avoid posing with your back to Buddhist statues. Always ask permission before photographing locals.
Precautions: Sri Lanka is generally safe, but please secure your valuables at all times. Use room safes or lock your belongings securely in your luggage. Keep your passport and valuables with you and be cautious in public areas.
Food & Water: Eat at recommended restaurants rather than roadside kiosks. Advise restaurants of any allergies before ordering. Drink bottled water, which is widely available.
Safety: Always supervise children, especially near balconies, lifts, and when boarding vehicles.
Tipping: Not included. While not compulsory, tips are appreciated for good service.
Shopping: You are not obliged to shop. However, Sri Lanka is known for its gems, spices, hand-carved wood, brass and iron items, batiks, and fabrics. Visits to licensed craft venues are optional and do not require purchases.

You will be able to choose your airline and flight times when you make your booking, in either Economy, Premium, or Business class, depending on the destination and carrier. This flight may include one or more stopovers. Please review your flight options carefully as departure and arrival airports may differ, in order to offer the best price.
Luggage information
Luggage, meals and other services on board may be subject to an additional fee on certain airlines. It is possible to view details of luggage allowances when you choose your flights at the next stage of the booking process. If luggage is not included with your flight, please go to the airline's website before your departure to purchase your luggage for an additional fee.
For domestic flights, airlines do not always offer the option of reserving luggage. In this case, you will need to pay for it at the airport counter.
You will receive all the information you need to check in for your flights after you have made your reservation.
Transfers:
Sit back and enjoy the ride with included transfers to and from your beautiful hotel. The type of transfer is dependent on your hotel location and can be a domestic flight, speedboat or seaplane transfer (or a combination). Additional information for seaplane transfers:
If you choose one of our non-flight inclusive offers and wish to book your own flights to the Maldives, please plan to arrive in Malé before 3pm and depart after 10am, in order to take advantage of the seaplane/ speedboat transfers. If you plan to book your own flights outside the above-suggested times, you may need to source your own overnight accommodation (at your own expense).
- The seaplane transfer provider imposes a maximum luggage allowance of 20kg per person for hold luggage, and a maximum of 5kg per person for hand luggage. Additional weight will be charged per kg.
- Luggage for children under 2 years of age is not included in the luggage allowance. A supplement of $5 per kg will be payable on the spot.
- The hotel and transfer provider cannot be held responsible for any claims arising from missed international flights, delays in seaplane transfers caused by adverse weather conditions, or force majeure.
- Seaplanes operate during the day only. If you arrive in Malé on an international flight after 3pm, hotel transfers will be provided the following day and you will be responsible for arranging and paying for your overnight stay in Malé.
- In order to organise your airport/hotel/airport transfers, please provide us with your flight schedule within 96 hours of your booking by filling in the dedicated form in your member account. Without this information, your transfers cannot be carried out.
