After breakfast, embark on a safari of the Udawalawe National Park. This is a dry zone park which was declared a national park in 1972, which falls between the Udawalawe Reservoir and the Walawe River, surrounded by beautiful mountain ranges. This spectacular park is famous for its playful herds of elephants, spotted deer, sambhur, barking deer, grey langur, water buffalo and jackal. From Little Adams Peak, you will be able to enjoy a panoramic view of the landscape - it's particularly magical in the morning, as you can watch the clouds rolling in.
Next, transfer to Nuwara Eliya via Bandarawela where you can visit the former British governor's summer residence at 1900m altitude. Nuwara Eliya is reminiscent of England, with its Victorian gardens, rose bushes, pristine lawns, golf course, and cool, misty climate. After breakfast, visit the Temple of Tooth (Dalada Maligawa). Every day, hundreds of Buddhist pilgrims come to worship the precious relic of Lord Buddha. After this visit, transfer to Peradeniya and visit the botanical gardens. Home to some of the most stunning tropical species of the world, including trees, flowers, spices and fruits, this is unquestionably one of the most beautiful gardens in the world. In the afternoon, visit a gem lapidary.

After breakfast, transfer to Matale. In Matale, visit a spice garden to see the different spices that Sri Lanka is famous for. Discover the different spices growing in Ceylon, and learn all about their usage. After this visit, proceed to Sigiriya, with a stop to visit the rock temple of Dambulla. Classified as a World Heritage Site by UNESCO in 1991, the temple of Dambulla is a rock monastery which was built by King Walagambahu in the 1st Century BC. The complex of five caves with over 2,000 square metres of painted walls and ceilings is the largest area of paintings found in the world. It contains over 150 images of the Buddha, of which the largest is the colossal figure of the Buddha carved out of rock and spanning 14 metres. Transfer to Sigiriya.
After breakfast, leave for Habarana where you will enjoy a traditional Sri Lankan village experience. Ride around in a tuk-tuk, a bullock cart and a boat on a small lake. Visit a local plantation before attending a cooking demonstration in a village house.
Next, transfer to Sigiriya where you will ascend Lion Rock, a fortress palace and a 5th-century rock citadel of King Kasypa. Step through the gigantic 'lion paws', look over the symmetrical gardens below and wander through the museum, filled with historical relics. Return to the hotel after your visit.
