Your Itinerary —
Day 1: Airport / Kandy
Arrival at Colombo International Airport. Here, you will be met by a designated chauffeur guide from HayleysTours. After the formalities at the airport you will be escorted to your air conditioned vehicle and proceed to Kandy.
(Approx Travel Time - 03 to 04 Hours)
On arrival, check in to the hotel and free for leisure.
Overnight stay at Amaya Hills or Similar
After breakfast proceed to explore Kandy city and temples. ( Approx Travel Time - 30 to 50 minutes).Proceed to visit Embekka Temple. Around 13 km from the Kandy city, a Buddhist temple dates from the 14thcentury is situated in the villege "Arathtana". It is decorated by wooden columns richly carved with animals,dancers, and wrestlers. Embekka is unique,because it owns some of the greatest carvings in Sri lanka. There aretotal of eight buildings built for the temple of Embekka. Six buildings are in the inner temple, and two of themoutside. The structure that are inside the surrounding wall are known as the 'inner temple'. The structures thatare outside the wall are known as the 'outer temple'.Therefore it is a famous travel destination in Sri Lanka for visitors in their Sri Lanka tour.
You will then continue to the Gadaladeniya temple and the Lankatilaka temple.
Evening city tour of Royal city of Kandy. You will also visit the Temple of the Tooth Relic, considered the foremost sacred place of worship in the Buddhist World.
After, you will witness a Cultural Dance before you return to the hotel.

After leisurely breakfast check out from the hotel, proceed to Dambulla. En route make a visit to Sri Temple, Matale. ( Approx Travel Time from Kandy to - 01 - 01½ hrs drive). This is a religious site with 1008 statues of Hindu deities.
After, stop by a Matale spice garden to have a relaxing head and shoulders massage (Travel Time approximately 10 - 20 minutes). Enlighten your-self with the different varieties of spices used in Sri Lankan cuisines, how the famous spices of Sri Lanka are grown and processed. Relax and enjoy a 20 minutes complimentary Ayurvedic Massage. Matale is also famous for its batik production and spice gardens. Batik has been an ancient art of painting cloth and today Sri Lanka is among the world leaders in the design of batik. Batik galleries and factories offer batik from simple single-colored designs to intricate multi-coloured masterpieces.
On completion proceed to visit Dambulla Rock Cave Temple. ( Approx Travel Time from Matale to Dambulla - 01 - 01½ hrs drive). The Golden Temple of Dambulla has been the centre of pilgrimage for Buddhists and Hindus alike for 22 centuries. It is Sri Lanka’s most popular historic site.

After breakfast, proceed to visit the Sacred City of Polonnaruwa. ( Approx Travel Time - 01 ½ - 02 hrs drive). Polonnaruwa was established as the capital by King Vijayabahu I after Anuradhapura had been invaded in thelate 10th century. However it was under King Parakramabu I, who ruled in the late 11th century, thatPolonnaruwa became a magnificent walled city. He built the vast reservoir, Parakrama Samudra (the Sea ofParakrama) still in use today, and ordered the construction of monasteries, temples, palaces, bathing pools andBuddhist statues, all set in a forested park surrounded by moats. During his period of rule it is said that Sri Lanka was known as the Granary of the East.
On completion return to your hotel and free for leisure. ( Approx Travel Time - 01 ½ - 02 hrs drive).

After leisurely breakfast check out from the hotel, proceed to Mihinthale Rock. ( Approx Travel Time from Dambulla to Mihinthale : 01 ½ - 02 hrs drive).
This sleepy village and temple complex, 13km east of Anuradhapura, holds a special place in the annals of SriLankan lore. In 247 BC King Devanampiya Tissa of Anuradhapura was hunting a stag on Mihintale Hill when hewas approached by venerable monks headed by Arahath Mahinda Mahathera, son of the great Indian Buddhistemperor, Ashoka. Arahath Mahinda Mahathera tested the king’s wisdom and, considering him to be a worthydisciple, promptly converted the king on the spot. Mihintale has since been associated with the earliestintroduction of Buddhism to Sri Lanka.
On completion continue to Jaffna for your next stay. ( Approx Travel Time from Mihinthale to Jaffna : 03 - 04 hrs drive). On arrival check in to your hotel and enjoy free time for leisure.

After breakfast proceed on a Jaffna city tour. Your tour will take you to Nallur Kandaswamy Kovil, 2km from Jaffna City Centre. After, proceed to Point Pedro (approximate travel time 20 minutes). Point Pedro is one end of the longest points of Sri Lanka‚ which is located 432km from Point Dondra. There is a concrete Flag atPoint Pedro to indicate one end of Sri Lanka. Point Pedro is one of the locations in Sri Lanka where one can see both sun rise and sun set from the same location. From there we drive along the northern tip of Sri Lanka to Keerimalai springs and Naguleswaram Temple. Nearby and in the interior is the important historical site of Kandarodai or Kandurugoda. This is a fascinating archaeological site with the remains of nearly 50 small stupas, built together with other buildings like relic houses close to each other. The origin of the site is controversial, but certainly shows the enormous importance of the Jaffna peninsula in ancient times.
Afterwards, you will drive to Karaitivu and enjoy a swim at Casuarina Beach. Afterwards drive to Karaitivu and we take a relaxing swim in the sea at Casuarina Beach. On completion return to your hotel and relax.
