Optional activities —
Early check-in with breakfast

Get your holiday started as soon as you arrive - with this option, you can check in early and have an extra breakfast, so there's no waiting around.
Optional excursions —
Day at Udawalawe - minimum 2 people

Udawalawe lies south of the island's central hills and surrounds the Udawalawe Reservoir, which is part of the park.
It is a mix of abandoned teak plantations, scrub jungle and grasslands. The dry season is the best time to see the many herds of elephants that roam the park, usually between May and September. Almost the entire park is covered by tall Pohon grass, which grows all year round. Udawalawe is a great place to observe elephants: an estimated 450 elephants live here.
Day at Sinharaja - minimum 2 people

Sinharaja represents the characteristics of a tropical rainforest. Most of Sri Lanka's endemic birds and plants can be seen in Sinharaja. The UNESCO World Heritage Site is the last remaining rainforest in Sri Lanka and is home to most (almost 95%) of Sri Lanka's endemic birds, giant butterflies and over 50 per cent of Sri Lanka's endemic mammals. The most striking sight at Sinharaaja are the dazzling colours and shocking contrasts of the large mixed flocks of birds that feed and fly through the forest. This lowland forest is considered one of the best birdwatching sites in Sri Lanka: 22 of Sri Lanka's 26 endemic birds have been spotted here and the large mixed flocks of feeding birds are an unusual sight.
Day in Galle

On this trip you will visit a turtle hatchery and the famous Galle harbour. The turtle hatchery is located 8 km south of Bentota, in Kosgoda. It is said to be the best place to see giant turtles. Galle, said to be the famous Tarshish of the Bible, is the port where the Portuguese first landed in Sri Lanka in the 16th century. Fortified by the Dutch who ruled maritime Sri Lanka in the 17th and 18th centuries, the town still retains the air of old Holland with its churches, monuments, fort and ramparts, as well as picturesque houses and narrow streets that still bear Dutch names.
