Your Destination —
St. Lucia is an Eastern Caribbean island nation, which features two dramatically tapered mountains, the Pitons, on its West Coast. Along the coastline, there are volcanic beaches, reef-diving sites, luxury resorts and pretty, traditional fishing villages. Trails in the interior rainforest lead to stunning waterfalls, such as the 15m-high Toraille, which cascades over a cliff into a garden. The capital, Castries, is a popular cruise port and is well worth a visit.
Rodney Bay is a bay located in the Gros Islet quarter on the island of St. Lucia and is considered by many to be the entertainment and recreation centre of the region. It consists of dozens of hotels, as well as the island's two largest shopping malls and the Treasure Bay Casino. It is also known for its variety of excellent cuisine served at the many restaurants and cafes. On Reduit Beach Ave, there is a lively strip of nightclubs and more restaurants, which are a popular part of the island for both tourists and locals alike.
