Your Destinations —
The ancient city of Porto is characterised by its narrow streets, picturesque buildings and colourful local markets. Porto is steeped in history and is the ideal setting for a city break combined with cultural discovery.
Porto's historic centre is the Ribeira district, full of UNESCO World Heritage sites and monuments. Old churches and staircases peer around every corner, and the friendly, inviting locals make discovering this fascinating city a pleasurable experience.
Set aside the Duoro River, Porto—Portugal's second city—is one of the most eclectic destinations in Europe. With its Medieval architecture, it's defining Dom Luis I Bridge (designed by the engineer and disciple of Gustave Eiffel, Teófilo Seyrig) and Art Nouveau cafes, there's something for everyone.
The Inspira Santa Marta Hotel is situated in a particularly fashionable part of town and is just 10 minutes from Lisbon’s historic centre. Both Avenida and Marques de Pombal metro stops are within walking distance while the Baixa is only a short metro journey away.
The hotel is within easy reach of "must see" Lisbon sites such as the Elevador Santa Justa (1.5km), the Jeronimos Monastery (7km) and the Berardo Collection Art Museum (7km).
