Your Itinerary in Detail —
Day 1-2
Day 1: Upon arrival at Lisbon airport, a group transfer will take you to your first hotel, in Lisbon. Check-in, enjoy dinner and good night's sleep.
Day 2: After breakfast at your hotel, kick-start your day with a walking tour through the city centre of the splendid capital city of Portugal, one of the World's great historical cities and a beautiful setting that makes it a paradise for walkers and photographers.
The walking tour starts from the Hotel, and goes through the main streets and squares downtown (Baixa District), Av.da Liberdade, Praça dos Restauradores e Rossio, Rua do Carmo, Largo do Carmo, Bairro Alto, Largo de Camões e Chiado, Rua Augusta, Terreiro do Paço and Mercado da Ribeira where you will stop for a free lunch. Mercado da Ribeira is a food market with young chefs running different gourmet little restaurants with all kinds of food. Today, this place is one of the main attractions of the city!
After lunch, you will catch a bus and visit the charming coastal district, full of monuments of the Portuguese Golden Age. Take a short stop at the traditional Pasteis de Belém shop before heading to the Jeronimos Monaster which is an impressive 16th-century architectural building, built in Gothic Manueline style. Visit Jeronimos Monastery and walk to the Monument to the Discoveries, built on the 500th anniversary of the death of Henry the Navigator and the Tower of Belém, one of the city landmarks.
Day 3-4
Day 3: After breakfast, it's time to leave for Sintra for a luxury visit and walk through this charming village. Visit the Village Palace, Summer residence of the royal family till 1910. After visiting Sintra, visit enjoy an amazing view from the westernmost point of Europe (Cabo da Roca).
Along the coast you will see the most famous surfing beaches, the incredible Boca do Inferno, the cosmopolitan Cascais and the gardens of Casino Estoril.
Day 4: With its landscape rich in windmills and fruit trees, Óbidos is surrounded by medieval walls where you can admire the harmony of the architecture, the diversity of the handicrafts and taste the famous ‘ginginha’ (bitter cherry liqueur). Visit Alcobaça panoramic with the first and largest gothic church in Portugal with the tombs of D.Pedro and Inês de Castro, known for its love story.
Stop in Nazaré, a typical fishing village and seaside resort, with its traditions and legends. Continue to Batalha, to the Monastery of Santa Maria de Victoria, a masterpiece of the gothic in Portugal where we can find the tomb of Henry the Navigator and promoter of maritime discoveries. The last visit of the day will be Fátima, the famous Marian Shrine.
Day 5-6
Day 5: After breakfast at the hotel, head to Coimbra with its famous University, one of the oldest in the world, with its magnificent baroque library and its unique atmosphere characterised by ancient traditions and customs such as the black cape of the students and the melancholic ‘fado’ music.
Stop at St Clara Church, where lies the tomb of Queen St. Isabel, the protagonist of the “miracle of the roses”. In the centre, you can admire the exclusive ceramic of Coimbra. In the afternoon, continue to Aveiro, the city of the canals, known as the “Portuguese Venice”, where you will have time to see the graceful boats “moliceiros” and taste the local sweets “ovos moles”.
Day 6: Discover Porto, an enchanting city, established in the hills above the Douro River. Designated a UNESCO World Heritage Site for its historic buildings and outstanding monuments, highlights of Portugal’s second-largest city. Start the visit with an enchanting walking tour, by the city centre, old houses, Palaces, Churches, Monuments, Sao Bento Train Station, Rua da Flores, Palacio da Bolsa, St. Mary Church. St. Francis church that history has made eternal.
During the visit, walk by the Rio Douro side and admire the unique view of the Bridges over the Douro. You can admire the city of Gaia bank in front of Ribeira district.
After lunch, taste a selection of port wine with an explanation by a winemaker in one of the top Port Wine Cellars. Porto offers a compelling synthesis of ancient and contemporary attractions.
Day 7-8
Day 7: Drive through the heart of Portugal to Bussaco, well known for its luxuriant forest, made up of a selection of rare trees and plants of exotic beauty, where was built a charming and romantic hotel, before a royal hunting lodge built by the last King of Portugal.
Continue to Tomar. The development of the city is closely linked to the Order of the Templars, which received these lands in 1159 as a reward for the assistance they gave Dom Afonso Henriques (the First King of Portugal) in the Christian reconquers of the territory. It was Dom Gualdim Pais, the first Grand Master of the Order in Portugal, who founded the castle and the remarkable Convent of Christ inside. Enlarged and altered over the centuries, this retains the influences of various architectural styles; it is the centrepiece of the city and is classified as a World Heritage Site by UNESCO. After the tours, head back to Lisbon for your final night in Portugal.
Day 8: Your tour has come to an end... 3 hours before your flight, a driver will pick you up at the hotel's reception and will transfer you to the airport for your return flight.

No trip to the city would be complete without visiting the lively neighbourhood of Bairro Alto, an area filled with cobbled lanes and eclectic bars, as well as vibrant history - this area dates back to the 16th century, and it’s worth seeing the magnificent Baroque interior of the São Roque church. Afterwards, grab an iconic pastel de nata from Pastéis de Belém, the birthplace of the pastry, before wandering over to the imposing Belém Tower on the shores of the Tagus river.
If you’re looking to escape the city, take an atmospheric boat trip along the river towards the Douro Valley, where you can taste some of the world’s finest wine. Return to Lisbon’s centre refreshed, and catch a sunset over the city’s seven hills from the 1st century BC São Jorge Castle - Lisbon is truly a unique mix of intriguing history, delicious cuisine, and Portuguese passion!
