Helicopter Flight over Lisbon Belém

Discover the famous district of Belém from the skies during a 10-minute helicopter flight in Lisbon. You will have the opportunity to admire some of Lisbon's unbeatable monuments starting, of course, by the Tower of Belém. Built between 1514 and 1519 in order to protect the city, this tower has been listed as a UNESCO World Heritage Site since 1983 and is a must to see in the city! Be sure not to miss the Monument to the Discoveries built in 1960, which pays tribute to Prince Henry the Navigator. See the Jeronimos Monastery which has also listed as a World Heritage Site by UNESCO since 1983. Built in 1502 by King Manuel I, this monastery represents culture and discoveries through the centuries. The 25th of April Bridge whose name derives from the revolution held on 25th April 1974, meanwhile is fantastic to fly over, as it is the first suspension bridge to cross the Tagus. Finally, marvel at the famous National Sanctuary of Christ the King. This religious statue was inaugurated on 17 May 1959 and dedicated to the Sacred Heart of Jesus Christ and inspired by Christ the Redeemer of Rio.

To end your flight, you will glide over the mouth of the Tagus River and enjoy a magnificent view of Costa da Caparica along with the beaches of the north-west of the city where Portuguese sailors left to discover the world.

We advise you to choose to fly over Lisbon at the beginning of your stay! In case of bad weather, the flight can then be rearranged so that you don’t miss out on this once in a lifetime experience.

To begin, you will fly over the famous Belém Tower, dating back to the 16th century and classified as World Heritage by UNESCO. Head over to the historic district which offers some impressive surprises including the monuments of the Castle Saint-Georges which dominates the district of Alfama recalling its Moorish heritage, the Cathedral Santa Maria Maior, the oldest cathedral of the city, as well as the famous Sanctuary of Christ the King, a religious monument dedicated to the Sacred Heart of Jesus Christ overlooking the city of Lisbon.
