Manila, where you'll begin your tour, is a maze of energy, where you can eat, drink, shop and sing (at one of the numerous karaoke bars!) 24 hours a day. With chaotic traffic blaring noisy horns, street food stalls wafting smells of delicious fried treats and lofty skyscrapers peppering the skyline, you're sure to be amazed. Your driver will meet you at your hotel and transfer you to the airport to catch your flight to Tagbilaran on the Philippine Airlines PR 2777 14:05-15:25. Upon arrival at Tagbilaran Airport, a resort representative holding a wooden "AMARELA" sign, will meet you and transfer you to the Amarela Resort. At the Amarela Resort on Panglao Island, take pleasure in a laid-back island experience that only this resort can give. This boutique resort in Panglao Island is a destination in itself. It is a first-rate hotel that is nurtured by the culture of Boholanos. From organic Filipino dishes to conveniences including banqueting services, water sports facilities, and Wi-Fi Internet access – Amarela has everything taken care of. Each room features antique furniture, local art, and travel essentials, such as a mini-bar and cable TV. Amarela is a recipient of the ASEAN Green Hotel Award. The staff pursue green hotel practices, like solid waste segregation, composting of wastes, and water recycling through rainwater collection. This environmentally-friendly resort is set on a gentle slope near the beach, commanding panoramic views of the Bohol Sea. It is around 30 minutes from Tagbilaran Airport and the Tagbilaran City Tourist Pier.

At 0830 am your guide will pick you up from the hotel. Today you will visit the highlights of Bohol and kayak on the Abatan River. Your first stop will be at the Philippine Tarsier and Wildlife Sanctuary in the town of Corella where you can see and observe these peculiar small primates in their natural habitat. The tarsier has such large eyes because it is a nocturnal hunter and the large eyes help maximise the available light. They don’t like it when someone takes their picture using a bright flash. Afterwards, head to the most famous tourist attraction in Bohol, the Chocolate Hills. They are covered in green grass that turns brown (like chocolate) during the dry season, hence the name. Another amazing nature attraction in Bohol is the Abatan river, one of the three main rivers of Bohol. You'll then drive to the town of Cortes. The Abatan River Community Life is being managed by a non-profit organisation in cooperation with the local government. Grab your kayak and paddle your way to the small passages of the nipa swamp together with your guide. Along the way you may witness people harvesting nipa palms or fishermen at work. Visit the fish cages, acquaint yourself with the different mangrove species or just paddle around and enjoy nature. After the tour your guide will drop you off at your accommodation.

Your guide and driver will meet you at the resort at 08:30 am. Today is a full day of activities around the island of Siquijor, known for its healing rituals. Wear your hiking shoes, comfortable apparel and swimming suit for the adventure ahead of you. Visit 2 well-known healers in the mountainous areas of Siquijor. Experience fumigation and Bulo-bulo healing. Fumigation, a ritual cleansing that will protect anyone from exposure to negative energies or a wellness massage or locally known as “hilot”. Another way to take out the negative vibes is to experience or witness the unique healing method of “bulo-bulo” where a glass jar, clean water, straw and magic stone are used to heal anyone who visits the mananambal (traditional healer). The healer blows air into the water through a straw as he passes the glass around the patient’s body, as the water became murky, the glass will be rinsed and the healer repeats the process until the water finally stays clear and that means that the patient/visitor is cleansed from bad spirits or any sickness. After the healing experiences the outdoor adventure begins. Proceed to Mt. Bandilaan, Siquijor’s highest peak. You will be dropped off at the jump-off point for you to start your trek in the lush forest of the nature centre. You will end your trek in the highest point of the mountain where you can climb the watch tower from where you have a view over the whole Island of Siquijor. Now, you will now head to Lazi, another town of Siquijor for your seafood lunch with a combination of other local cuisine. But before that, you need to relax your feet in a cool pond under a century old “Balete tree” where you can dip your feet and experience “fish spa”. Your guide will then accompany you to an old church and convent of Lazi, the church, also known for its huge convent, was declared a National Cultural Treasure by the National Museum of the Philippines. It was also nominated for the UNESCO World Heritage Tentative List. After a taste of Siquijor’s heritage, it’s time to cool down and take a dip in Cambugahay Falls. This is a multi-tiered cascading waterfall with fresh and clean warm water run-off, coming from natural springs, watersheds and small rain forests of the higher mountains. After this, head back to the resort.
