Enjoy a personalised welcome at Manila Airport and your transfer to the hotel. For your first night in Manila, you will stay at The Bayleaf, a charming hotel in the heart of the historic Intramuros district. On the agenda, depending on the arrival time of your international flight: briefing on your trip and then discovery of the Intramuros district, the former Spanish colonial city. We will explore successively: St. Augustine's Church, the oldest stone church in Manila, founded in the 17th century by the Augustinians, Casa Manila, a 19th century bourgeois residence, restored after the destruction of the Second World War and the Silahis Center, which exhibits art and crafts from the various islands of the Philippine archipelago (depending on the arrival time of your international flight, this visit may be proposed in Day 2). Overnight at The Bayleaf.
The hotel will provide your transfer to Manila Airport, with a direct flight to Puerto Princesa, the capital of Palawan Island, in the late morning or early afternoon. On arrival you will settle at The Legend Palawan Hotel. The Legend Palawan is located in the city of Puerto Princesa. The spacious rooms are equipped with parquet flooring and warm lighting. The hotel has two restaurants and an outdoor swimming pool. In the late afternoon, a van will pick you up and take you to the mouth of the Iwahig River. You will board a barge that will go up the river and allow you to observe clouds of fireflies in the trees along the banks. A buffet dinner is served on board (group outing with a local English-speaking guide) Return to the hotel in the evening. Overnight at the Legend Palawan.
Day 3: Boat trip in Honda Bay (Breakfast, Lunch & Dinner)
Honda Bay, on the east coast of Palawan, is an exceptional marine sanctuary. You will leave the hotel around 09.00, in a van, to reach the pier of Sta Lourdes. From there you will take a banca, a traditional Philippine boat with double pendulums, to reach the small island of Pandan. You will dock on a magnificent white sandy beach. From there you can kayak and paddle. You can also practice scuba diving and snorkeling by renting the equipment on site. The reef around Isla Pandan is the richest in the bay. Lunch is included. Return to the hotel in the afternoon (group outing with a local English-speaking guide). Overnight at The Legend Palawan.
A two-hour drive from Puerto Princesa, near Sabang Beach on the West Coast, on the South China Sea, lies a 24km-long network of cellars, within which the Cabayugan River winds its way for over 8km. The river is navigable from the sea for 4 km. You can admire majestic stalactites and stalagmites in large rooms. You will leave the hotel after breakfast, in a van to reach Sabang Beach. After exploring the river, you will have lunch on the beach. Return to the hotel in the afternoon.
