Day 1 : Lima
Touchdown in Lima, where a transportation service will collect you from the airport and take you to your comfortable hotel. The Peruvian capital is a modern metropolis full of history and brimming with life.

Take the day to explore Lima at your leisure, or choose to join an optional city tour! (additional fee)

Day 3 : Lima - Arequipa
On arrival, enjoy the ease of a transfer to your hotel in Arequipa while your guide informs you of the many attractions the city has to offer! Whilst in Arequipa, choose an optional half-day tour to discover the delights of the city (additional cost).

Day 4 : Arequipa - Colca
After breakfast, head to the Colca Valley. The route will take you through the Yura district, where deep ravines rise up into high mountains rich in lush vegetation and waterfalls. The route continues to the Pampa Cañahuas, home to the vicuña, an indigenous Andean camelid that is closely related to the alpaca, guanaco, and llama.
Cross the pampas of Viscachani and Toccra and skirt the crater of the now-extinct Chucura Volcano to reach the Mirador de los Andes at Patapampa, 4,910 metres above sea level. This viewpoint offers impressive views of the numerous volcanoes surrounding Arequipa. Enjoy lunch in the picturesque town of Chivay before being transferred to your hotel in the Colca Valley for a free afternoon.

DAY 5 : COLCA - CONDOR CROSS - PUNO
Descend to the valley floor to discover some of the rustic towns on the banks of the River Colca such as Chivay, Pinchollo, Maca, Achoma and Yanque, where quaint colonial churches are as much as part of the scenery as the peaks of the Andes. Later on, continue to Puno. The route cuts through the Salinas and Aguada Blanca National Reserve and takes in the stunning stone forests of Patahuasi. There are several viewpoints and remote cafés that offer visitors warm coca tea. On arrival in Puno, you will be transferred to your hotel.

Day 6 : Puno - Lake Titicaca
After breakfast, travel to the port of Puno where a boat will be waiting to take you to the beautiful Uros Islands. The Uros are an indigenous people of Peru that live on a series of man-made islands, created entirely from the buoyant totora reeds that grow abundantly in the shallows of the lake.
After visiting this fascinating island, sail to Taquile, a small slice of heaven that once belonged to the Inca Empire. Look around and notice traces of its Incan past in the ruins that still exist around the island. After a brief introduction, the local community will give you an insight into their customs and traditions with a cultural demonstration. Lunch is enjoyed on the island before the return trip to Puno.

DAY 7 : PUNO - CUSCO
Next, continue to Racchi, home to the Wiracocha Temple, an Inca site built in honour of a powerful Andean god. Visit the 'Sistine Chapel of America', a church built during the 16th century on top of Wari remains. Afterwards, a last 40-kilometre drive gets you to Cusco, today’s final destination.

Day 8 : Cusco
Enjoy a day to explore at leisure and pass the time as you please. Choose to take part in an optional city tour of Cusco (additional fee).

DAY 9 : CUSCO - MACHU PICCHU - CUSCO
The Spaniards never found it, so it was spared the destruction they brought on other Inca sites. Instead, it was slowly swallowed up by the jungle and hidden from harm. A guided tour explains the origins behind this awe-inspiring citadel, presenting its most prominent landmarks. Return to Aguas Calientes to board the train back to Cusco. Lunch included.

DAY 10 : CUSCO - LIMA - FLIGHT HOME / CUSCO - PUERTO MALDONADO
Pack up your things before you are transferred to Cusco airport to take your departure flight back to Lima.
If choosing the 2-night extension, take a flight to Puerto Maldonado for a 2-night stay at Eco Amazonia Lodge.

2-Night Extension
DAY 10 : ECOAMAZONIA LODGE
Fly from Cusco to Puerto Maldonado, ready for a 3-day, 2-night extension at EcoAmazonia Lodge on a Full Board basis. Upon your arrival in Puerto Maldonado, meet your hosts at the airport, ready for a bus tour of the city. Later, head to Puerto Capitanía to hop on a motor boat trip past ronsocos, alligators, turtles, herons, cormorants and more! Arrive at the lodge and get settled in your comfortable bungalow room before lunch.
In the afternoon, follow a trail to Cocha Caimán, a small lagoon home to plenty of black and white caiman. Watch the sunset before a delicious dinner.
DAY 11 : ECOAMAZONIA LODGE
In the afternoon, opt for a guided visit to Monkey Island, in the heart of the Madre de Dios River and just 5 minutes from the lodge. During the walk, admire the abundance of flora and fauna and the native monkey species that range from Maquisapa, Capuchino, Leoncillo, and Fraile. You may even see coatis and sloth bears!
Return to the lodge for dinner.
DAY 12 : DEPARTURE
Head out after breakfast, ready for your flight from Puerto Maldonado to Lima, before your international flight back home.
