Begin your Amazon adventure in Puerto Maldonado, the Capital of Biodiversity. After a 25-minute boat ride on the Madre de Dios River, you will arrive at Inkaterra Hacienda Concepción Lodge. DAY 12: PUERTO MALDONADO

Start your day with a delicious buffet breakfast available from 5:30 am. Afterwards, head to the stunning Sandoval Lake, a shimmering mirror of water in the Tambopata National Reserve. Board a carved wooden canoe and paddle gently through the tranquil canals surrounding the lake, where you may spot the endangered giant otter, colourful macaws, howler monkeys and turtles that inhabit this magical environment. Return to Inkaterra Hacienda Concepción for a revitalising lunch.

 

In the afternoon, immerse yourself in the adventure of the Inkaterra Canopy Walkway and Anaconda Trek. This ingenious system of suspension bridges will give you breathtaking views of the forest from the treetops.
