Discover this fascinating city on a private city tour, beginning in downtown Lima.
Visit the main square where Lima was founded in 1535 as "The City of Kings", see the presidential palace, the archbishop's palace and Lima Cathedral.
Visit the Museo Larco which is located inside a viceregal mansion built on top of a 7th-century pre-Columbian pyramid.

Day 4: Arequipa - Puno

Day 5: Puno - Titicaca Lake - Taquile Island
Your excursion on Lake Titicaca begins with a motorboat trip to the floating islands of the Uros. The Uros are an ancestral society who inhabit a series of artificial islands built from totora, a reef that grows in the lake.
Then visit the island of Taquile, which is inhabited by a native Peruvian community who still speak Quechua and enjoy lunch in a typical restaurant.

Day 6: Puno - Cuzco
Journey through the breathtaking landscape of the high plateaux, dotted with small Andean villages and herds of llamas and vicuñas. On the way, visit the archaeological sites of Pukara (dating from 200 BC to 300 AD) and Raqchi to admire the ruins of an Inca temple dedicated to the creator god Wiracocha.
Stop again in Andahuaylillas, a charming village famous for its magnificent 16th-century church of St Peter the Apostle. Nicknamed the "Sistine Chapel of the Americas", its interior is entirely decorated with murals, altars and Baroque altarpieces in carved wood.

Day 7: Cuzco
Today, you'll take part in a guided tour starting at the Coricancha temple, one of the most important buildings in the city.
Visit the magnificent Cathedral of Cusco, built between 1560 and 1664, and end the tour with a visit to the San Pedro market.
Please note: The visit to the San Pedro market can be replaced by a visit to Casa Concha, a former colonial mansion housing an impressive collection of Inca artefacts from Machu Picchu.

Day 8: Cusco - Sacred Valley - Aguas Calientes
The day begins in the Sacred Valley, where you will visit the Pisac market. Here, magnificent alpaca wool garments, musical instruments, paintings, sculptures, necklaces and replicas of old Inca artefacts are all on display.
After stopping at a viewpoint to enjoy the scenery and visit the Yucay Living Museum, head onwards to Ollantaytambo.

Day 9: Aguas Calientes - Machu Picchu - Cusco
Arrive at Machu Picchu, the famous archaeological site and masterpiece of engineering that appeared to serve as the sanctuary and residence of the Inca Pachacutec.

Day 11: Cusco - Lima - Puerto Maldonado (for optional Amazon stopover)
Arrive in Puerto Maldonado, the biodiversity capital of Peru. Head from the centre of the city to the Capitania Port to embark downstream of the Madre de Dios River, toward the hostel. During your trip, you will see alligators, turtles, herons and other animals along the shore.
In the afternoon, you will be led by a specialised guide through a trail to the Cocha Cayman, a small lagoon where you will have the opportunity to observe both black and white caimans.
Please note: Only medium-size luggage is allowed during your accommodation in the lodges of Puerto Maldonado. The maximum luggage weight allowed in the lodge is 8kg. During your stay, larger luggage will remain stored.

Day 12: Puerto Maldonado
After a delicious breakfast, you will hike to the deep forest with a local guide. Walk through trails and cross temporary water courses called pipes and identify species of fruit trees, forest and medicinal trees.
You can also spot mammals like the jaguar, tapir, the giant otter, capybara and armadillo as well as reptiles like the iguana. Once in the Lost Lake (Cocha Perdida), you will go up to a huge viewing platform. In the afternoon, you will visit Monkey Island located just minutes from the lodge and return to a vivid sunset in the jungle.

Half-day tour through the boardwalk of Barranco (for a minimum of 2 people)
Start with a scenic tour of the boardwalk, crossing the bohemian district of Barranco and the modern district of Miraflores, passing by Love Park where you can admire an imposing view of the Pacific Ocean.
After the tour, head to a local restaurant and learn how to prepare the famous pisco sour in a cocktail-making class. Then, enjoy a demonstration cooking class, and learn how to make a delicious, typical Peruvian dish. After both classes, enjoy a tasty lunch overlooking the sea.
Transfer back to your hotel at the end of the tour.
Full day hike to the Devil's Balcony (for a minimum of 2 people)
Transfer in the morning from your hotel to the site of Sacsayhuaman, then begin the hike to Chacán, also known as Balcón del Diablo. At the top of the cliff, you can enjoy a panoramic view of the entire site. The hike continues towards zone X, known for its mysterious rock labyrinths.
After lunch en route, you will visit the Temple of the Moon, where you will learn more about Andean cosmovision and its link with the stars and the forces of nature. You will then explore the archaeological complex of Cusilluchayoc. The return to Cusco follows the route of the ancient Inca road that went to Antisuyo. You will enter the city via San Blas, a district known for its talented craftsmen, where the walk ends.

Full day hike to Palcoyo mountain (for a minimum of 2 people)
The adventure begins at 5:00 am with a transfer from your hotel to the starting point of the trek, before reaching the summit of the impressive coloured mountain of Palcoyo
Like the Mountain of 7 Colours, also known as Vinicunca, Palcoyo gets its colouring from minerals such as magnesium, calcium and iron, which have accumulated over millions of years. Go on a 2-hour walk to reach the summit of Palcoyo mountain (moderate difficulty) and at the top, enjoy the breathtaking views of the mountain.

Maximum altitude: Palcoyo 16,000 ft / 4,930 m.

Full day tour to Humantay lagoon (for a minimum of 2 people)
Enjoy one of the most spectacular trekking excursions through the Andes to the Humantay lagoon (4180 metres above sea level).
You will be transferred from Cusco to Mollepata (1 hour and 20 minutes), then continue for another hour to Soraypampa (3900 metres above sea level). During this stretch, you'll see a variety of wildlife, including condors and Andean swallows, as well as the imposing Salkantay and Humantay mountains. From Soraypampa begins the two-hour climb to the Humantay lagoon, where we enjoy a packed lunch on its shores.
After, explore the area for about an hour, then descend to Soraypampa for about 1 hour and 15 minutes, where a bus will be waiting to take you back to Cuzco, where you will arrive at around 7.00 pm.

Full day hike to the Vinicunca (for a minimum of 2 people)
Depart from the hotel at 4:00 am for Quesoyuni. Visit Japura on the way, a small Andean community and have breakfast there. Then hike to Kairawiri, the starting point of the trek, to the impressive 7-coloured Mountain.
After the 30-45 minute visit, return to Kairawiri for a packed lunch.

The lively metropolis is one of the largest cities in South America and has a well-preserved centre from the colonial era.
Visit the Museo Larco with its collection of pre-Columbian art and the Museo de la Nación, dedicated to the history of Peru's ancient cultures.
In the heart of the old town Lima Centro lies the Plaza de Armas with a 16th century cathedral.
