Half Day City Tour

Panama City is a vibrant, cosmopolitan and beautiful city, Capital of the Republic of Panama, and located at the Pacific side of the American Continent. Built in 1519 by Pedro Arias Davila, a Spanish Governor, it has been considered as on of the most important cities of the Americas.

During this tour, participants will have the opportunity to visit the most interesting places of the city, like:Casco Antiguo: Founded in 1673, it is known as the Casco Viejo. This beautiful little area has several attractions that tourist shouldn’t miss and can easily cover in a walking tour of a few hours. A monument to the French entrepreneurs who began the Panama Canal stands at the bayside end of the Casco Viejo. There is also an adjacent art museum in the converted strong house, known as Las Bovedas, once used for storing gold. Other points of interest are the famed flat arch or Santo Domingo Church, the beautiful gold- plated altar of the San Jose Church, the Panama Canal Museum, the National Theater, the National Cathedral, the Presidential Palace and other numerous colonial churches and monuments.

Participants will have the opportunity to do a walking tour at the Casco Viejo section, walking by monuments such as the Plaza Bolivar, the San Francisco de Asis Church, Bolivar Palace and the National Theater; “Las Bovedas Promenade”, with one of the most spectacular views of Panama City. Panama City: The modern side of the City, the Banking District. The flash of skyscrapers in tropical sunlight and a beautiful horizon extends and is found in the turquoise blue water of the Pacific Ocean. The city is an important International Financial Center. We will walk the streets of the modern city; where we will be able to appreciate all the new constructions that are being carried out in the city and places of historical and tourist.

Miraflores Locks/Panama Canal: This classic experience brings you to the very best that Panama has to offer: The Panama Canal. Participants will be able to witness the magnificent Miraflores Locks and most probably, its operation. An expert canal guide will take us back in time to be part of it. What a wonderful way to experience this magnificent architectural masterpiece and to have a breathtaking view of the 8th wonder of the World. This tour will also include a visit to the Miraflores Locks Exhibits.

Rainforest Experience

Your Included Excursions
Admire and learn about the Rainforest, but this time from a different perspective. This peaceful and relaxing tour, takes you over the tree tops. A naturalist guide will help you to interpret some of the jungle's most interesting facts. The tram rises 267 feet a tent-floor observation tower. On the way to the observation tower, and as we ride to the top of a hill, we will enjoy fabulous views of the Chagres River, the Embera indigenous community, and much of the Soberania National Park. 

Butterfly Farm: These beautiful insects have been reproduced in a butterfly farm, in order to show visitors around 20 species of butterfly’s native to Panama and throughout the year of some 200 specie. 

Orchid Nursery: This is perhaps one of the few orchid nurseries, in Panama, with an educational purpose. Unlike commercial nurseries, here you can see a large number of wild species native to our country, including some miniature ones and the Panama a´s National Flower.

Planet Frogs: a garden that recreates almost perfect and natural, lush Panamanian rainforest. It is the new home to hundreds of frogs Darts native of tropical America, with more than 30 combinations of bright colors, where it will be possible to observe the complete cycle from mating, breeding, feeding and even territorial disputes between males. This educational exhibit ecological features a sprinkler irrigation system that simulates a highly realistic manner the thick fog of forests in these colorful frogs inhabit; the garden has about 35 species of plants, most of which accumulate water Bromeliads forming the perfect place for breeding of these amphibians.

Gatun Expedition: Enjoy a panoramic tour along the world famous Panama Canal. This trip will take you into the Gatun Lake, a major part of the Panama Canal, where you will see and learn about the fascinating tropical wildlife of the lake and the surrounding forest. You will explore some of the islands formed after the creation of which was once the largest artificial lake in the world. With a little luck and with the help of a naturalist guide, you can see crocodiles, caimans, sloths, monkeys and a host of birds native to the area.

Sloth Sanctuary: Gamboa Rainforest Reserve is a Hotel characterized by offering the visitor a unique space of contact with nature and this time with the support of the APPC has developed the Sloth’s Sanctuary which has a rehabilitation and training program for sloth that are injured by traffic accidents, sick and orphans due to forest fragmentation and reduction of their habitat are trained to return them to their place of origin and thus help increase the population of this important folivore. This program has two phases, the area of the enclosures are places where they are placed in pairs to exercise and learn to find their own food and the reintroduction process where they are released in an area of 1,000 square meters of open forest above, but protected at ground level with a wall 1.5 meters high, which pass from 3 to 6 months before being released.

Visitors will be able to witness the importance of this being that is in danger of extinction not only in our country, but throughout the Latin American region and in this way support the recovery of wildlife so vulnerable in our days.

Panama Canal Partial Transit

Your Optional Excursions
We enter the canal at the north end of the Gaillard Cut, where the Chagres River flows into the canal. The Gaillard Cut (also known as Culebra Cut because its curves resemble a snake) is one of the main points of interest for visitors because it was carved through the Continental Divide and this section of the Canal is full of history and geological value. The vessel will travel the Cut's 13.7 kilometres on the way to Pedro Miguel Locks. 

Before reaching the Pedro Miguel Locks at the southern end of the Cut, you will be able to view the new Centennial Bridge which crosses over the Canal. Next, we will enter Pedro Miguel Locks, which is one of the two sets of locks on the Pacific side, and here the vessel is lowered 9 meters in one step. 

You will then enter Miraflores Lake, which is a small artificial body of fresh water that separates Pedro Miguel from Miraflores Locks, the latter being the final set of locks before reaching the Pacific Ocean. At Miraflores Locks, the vessel is lowered 18 meters in two distinct steps. Once in the Pacific Ocean, the vessel will sail to the beautiful Flamenco Marina where passengers disembark. On the way to Flamenco, you will pass under the Bridge of the Americas, and later, you will be able to admire the Bay of Panama and Panama City's splendorous skyline. The whole experience could take from 6 to 8 hours (according to the Panama Canal Authority’s decision), depending on the traffic and the itinerary for that day.

San Blas Day Tour

The San Blas Archipelago on the Caribbean coast of Panama has 365 islands and is home to the most famous of Panama's 7 indigenous Indian tribes, the Gunas known for their beautiful Molas. On this fabulous day, you will enjoy the crystal clear waters of San Blas. We leave at approximately 5:00 am in 4x4 cars, and we will travel around 2 hours approx. Until arriving at the port of Carti in San Blas. We will take a motorized boat for about 20 minutes that will take us to Isla Aguja, where we can enjoy the Caribbean Sea. Then we will take a walk through the Natural Pool. Note: This tour includes the payment of tax to the indigenous region.

Entry Requirements 


You must ensure you have a valid passport to travel on. 


If your passport describes you as a British Citizen, you don’t need a visa to enter Panama unless you are arriving by sea. You must have a return or onward ticket and the equivalent of US$500 or a credit card.


If you enter Panama by land from Costa Rica and are not a legal resident of Costa Rica, the immigration authorities may ask you to show proof of onward or return travel to your country of legal residence.


If you arrive in Panama by sea, except via a cruise line, you will need a visa. There is a fee of $100 plus $5 registration per person for passengers and crew members of vessels.


If you choose a flight which routes via the USA and are travelling under the Visa Waiver Programme (VWP), you must obtain an ESTA (Electronic System for Travel Authorisation) prior to departure. Passengers who have not received travel authorisation via ESTA prior to travel will be denied boarding. Please note that if you are denied from boarding, or are not allowed into the US for any reason, you will still be subject to our cancellation charges in accordance with our terms and conditions.
