Panama & Casco

Old Panama awaits you with an unmissable English tour. You will start in the northeast with a route that winds from where the city was founded in 1519 to the Pacific. The old city quickly became an unmissable destination for merchants and merchants from all over the world.Destroyed in 1671 it was then rebuilt in the area now known as Casco Viejo. This beautiful and small area of the city boasts many unmissable attractions, such as churches and altars, but also museums and theaters.

Aerial Tram and Exhibits

Admire the rainforest from a different perspective by flying over the nature below on an aerial tram accompanied by a guide who will explain what you admire. You will then arrive at the top of a hill which is part of the Soberiana National Park. You will go to a butterfly farm,in a cultivation of orchids and in a garden that almost perfectly recreates the forest. Here you will find hundreds of native species of brightly colored frogs.

Miraflores Locks

This excursion takes you to discover the best that Panama has to offer: the Panama Canal. Participants will be able to admire the magnificent locks of Miraflores and most likely watch their operation. An expert channel guide will take you back in time to be part of it,with the hope that you will be able to personally witness the transit of a moving ship.

Gatun Expedition

Enjoy a scenic tour along the famous Panama Canal. This trip will take you to Gatun Lake, an important part of the Panama Canal, where you can see and learn about the fascinating tropical fauna of the lake and the surrounding forest.You will explore some of the islands formed after the creation of what was once the largest artificial lake in the world. With a little luck and with the help of a naturalist guide, you will see crocodiles, caimans, sloths, monkeys and a myriad of birds native to the area.

Tour of the New Sloth Sanctuary and Wildlife Rescue Center

Pay a visit to the Sloth's Sanctuary, where the creatures, who are in danger of extinction, are kept and re-introduced into their habitat in an area of 1,000 square meters of open forest. Visitors will be able to witness the importance of this being that is in danger of extinction not only in this country but throughout the Latin American region and in this way support the recovery of wildlife. The Visit to our Rescue Center gives you a unique Wild life point of view about our country. The Wild Life Rescue Center is Operated and Managed by the Panamerican Association for the Conservation (APPC Spanish), they are a nonprofit organization that rescues, rehabilitates and relocates wild animals.

San Blas Day Tour

The San Blas Archipelago on the Caribbean coast of Panama has 365 islands and is home to the most famous of Panama's 7 indigenous Indian tribes, the Gunas known for their beautiful Molas. On this fabulous day, you will enjoy the crystal clear waters of San Blas. We leave at approximately 5:00 am in 4x4 cars, and will travel around 2 hours approx. Until arriving at the port of Carti in San Blas. Take a motorized boat for about 20 minutes that will take you to Isla Aguja, where you can enjoy the Caribbean Sea. Then you will take a walk through the Natural Pool. Note: This tour includes the payment of tax to the indigenous region.

Panama Partial Transit

Enter the canal at the north end of the Gailard cut, where the Chagres River flows into the canal. The Gaillard Cut (also known as Culebra Cut because its curves resemble a snake) is one of the main points of interest for visitors because it was carved through the Continental Divide and this section of the Canal is full of history and geological value. The vessel will travel the Cut's 13.7 kilometres on the way to Pedro Miguel Locks. Before reaching the Pedro Miguel Locks at the southern end of the Cut, you will be able to view the new Centennial Bridge which crosses over the Canal.

Next, we will enter Pedro Miguel Locks, which is one of the two sets of locks on the Pacific side, and here the vessel is lowered 9 meters in one step. You will then enter Miraflores Lake, which is a small artificial body of fresh water that separates Pedro Miguel from Miraflores Locks, the latter being the final set of locks before reaching the Pacific Ocean. At Miraflores Locks the vessel is lowered 18 meters in two distinct steps.

Once in the Pacific Ocean the vessel will sail to the beautiful Flamenco Marina where passengers disembark. On the way to Flamenco, you will pass under the Bridge of the Americas, and later, you will be able to admire the Bay of Panama and Panama City's splendorous skyline. The whole experience could take from 6 to 8 hours (according the Panama Canal Authority’s decision), depending on the traffic and the itinerary for that day.

Folklore Dancing

Panama is the result of the encounter of many cultures that have crossed from native groups, to Spanish conquerors to Afro-Caribbean influences. A real crossroads strongly influenced by everyone's traditions. These mixed elements will give you the opportunity to sit at the Las Tinajas Restaurant,an authentic local restaurant, where you will taste local dishes and move to the rhythm of traditional instruments such as repicadores, pujadores and guiro, admiring the dancers in their Polleras, the national clothes.

Entry Requirements

You must ensure you have a valid passport to travel on.

If your passport describes you as a British Citizen, you don’t need a visa to enter Panama unless you are arriving by sea. You must have a return or onward ticket and the equivalent of US$500 or a credit card.

If you enter Panama by land from Costa Rica and are not a legal resident of Costa Rica, the immigration authorities may ask you to show proof of onward or return travel to your country of legal residence.

If you arrive in Panama by sea, except via a cruise line, you will need a visa. There is a fee of $100 plus $5 registration per person for passengers and crew members of vessels.

If you choose a flight which routes via the USA and are travelling under the Visa Waiver Programme (VWP), you must obtain an ESTA (Electronic System for Travel Authorisation) prior to departure. Passengers who have not received travel authorisation via ESTA prior to travel will be denied boarding. Please note that if you are denied from boarding, or are not allowed into the US for any reason, you will still be subject to our cancellation charges in accordance with our terms and conditions.

Airport tax

A US$40 airport tax (payable only in cash) is charged on departure. This is usually included in the airline ticket fare. Check with your carrier.
