Days 1 to 2: Oslo
Welcome to Oslo, the lively capital of Norway surrounded by lush forests and the magnificent Oslofjord. Stroll along the streets and explore the main street Karl Johan with its many charming shops, bars and cafés.
Venture out to Frogner Park, an impressive park with 212 sculptures by Gustav Vigeland or learn about polar expedition ships at the Fram Museum.

Day 3: Oslo
Collect your rental car and drive from Oslo to Geilo via the beautiful Hallingald Valley.
Once you get to Geilo, enjoy a scenic hike in one of the two nearby national parks - Hallingskarvet National Park and Hardangervidda National Park.

Day 4: Hardangervidda
Spend the day in the charming village of Eidfjord, taking the Norwegian Hardangervidda scenic route and stopping off at the Hardangerjøkulen glacier and Vøringsfossen - one of Norway's most impressive waterfalls.

Day 5: Bergen
Before you leave for Bergen, the Handangervidda Nature Centre is well worth a visit.
On the way to Bergen, make a photo stop at the Steinsdalsfossen waterfall and enjoy the fresh air, then return your hire car at Bergen airport.

Day 6: Bergen
Spend a free day in the Hanseatic city and soak up the authentic Norweigan feel of the old port and Bryggen - a UNESCO World Heritage Site, or stroll through the bustling fish market.
While you are here, go for one of the optional activities (at an extra cost) for the chance to take the funicular train to the top of Mount Fløien for splendid views, or sample traditional Norwegian cuisine on a 3-hour gastronomic and cultural walk.

Day 7: Departure
Breakfast at the hotel, then take the Flybussen to Bergen airport.

Fjord sightseeing in Oslo (2 hours)

Sail past numerous islands, including Hovedøya and the Dyna Lighthouse, through narrow inlets and into sheltered bays.
Spot the Norwegian National Opera & Ballet House in Bjørvika, which won an architectural competition in 2000, and the Fram Museum which houses an impressive polar ship.
Public Oslo bike tour (3 hours)

As a near car-free city, the best way to experience Oslo tours is by bike. On this 3-hour city tour, visit the medieval/Renaissance castle of Akershus Festning and The City Hall (home of the Nobel Peace Prize ceremony).
Ride down the main street of Karl Johans Gate and through the Royal Palace gardens. Discover the world-famous Vigeland Sculpture Park and enjoy the sea breeze as you cycle by the pitturesque coast with sweeping views over the islands, fjord, and surrounding wilderness.
Entrance to Hardangervidda Nature Centre

This centre is an exciting experience centre about Norwegian nature, climate and environment, and an authorised visitor’s centre for Harangervidda National Park. The new exhibitions establish Norwegian Nature Centre as a state-of-art experience and teaching centre for natural and cultural history.
Fløibanen Funicular

The Fløibanen funicular in Bergen is one of Norway’s best-known and most visited attractions. The journey up to Fløyen (320 m above sea level) takes about 5-8 minutes, and once at the top you will get great views of Bergen, the city of seven hills.
