Windhoek
DAY 1: ARRIVAL IN WINDHOEK
Arrive at Hosea Kutako International Airport near Windhoek. Numerous fountains and large pedestrian zones with street or garden cafés and European-style beer gardens make the city a lovely place to stroll around.
Visit the Tintenpalast, the current seat of government, the Christuskirche with its high church tower, and the Alte Feste, a former fortress that now houses a museum.
At the street markets, colourfully dressed street vendors sell handicrafts and wood carvings.

DAY 2: WINDHOEK - ETOSHA NATIONAL PARK
Drive through the towns of Okahandja and Otjiwarongo to Etosha National Park. Under the endless sky and savannah, keep your eyes open for antelopes and warthogs before you reach Etosha National Park.

DAYs 3-4: ETOSHA NATIONAL PARK
For more than 100 years, zebras, elephants, giraffes, onyx, blue wildebeest and many other rare animals have roamed this stunning park in peace and quiet.
With a bit of luck, you may see nocturnal lions, leopards, cheetahs, hyenas or jackals early in the morning or late at night. Etosha is also a birdwatcher's paradise with hundreds of documented species.

Etosha Natioal Park - Damaralad
DAY 5: ETOSHA NATIONAL PARK - DAMARALAND
Continue west via Outjo, where you can have a coffee and stretch your legs before arriving in Khorixas, the capital of the remote Damaraland.
See the spectacular Petrified Forest and visit Twyfelfontein, a UNESCO World Heritage Site, where prehistoric people carved and painted over 2,500 images some 6,000 years ago.

DAY 6: DAMARALAND - SWAKOPMUND
Drive through Uis, a former tin mining village, and continue towards the Atlantic Ocean and along the coast to Swakopmund, Namibia's most popular tourist town.
On the way there, you will pass the Brandberg, Namibia's highest mountain.

DAY 7: SWAKOPMUND
Swakopmund offers countless activities ranging from day trips to the harsh desert to scenic flights (both not included).
Enjoy the relaxed pace of this idyllic coastal town with its vibrant colours and bohemian life, historic buildings, museums, shopping galleries and beach bars.

Namib Desert & Kalahari Desert
DAY 8: SWAKOPMUND - NAMIB DESERT
We cross a seemingly endless desert plain and the Kuiseb Canyon.
Upon arriving at your accommodation, enjoy plenty of time for a dip in the refreshing pool, a hike or a nature tour.

DAY 9: NAMIB DESERT
Wake early and head into the Namib-Naukluft National Park shortly after sunrise. Enjoy sublime views of the sandy mountains in shades of apricot, red and orange against a bright blue sky.
Be mesmerised by the surreal Sossusvlei salt pan or the Deadvlei, surrounded by some of the highest dunes in the world, and climb one for views of the desert landscape.
Descend along the rocks into the Sesriem Canyon which was shaped by the Tsauchab River before returning to the lodge.

DAY 10: NAMIB DESERT - KALAHARI DESERT
Find Maltahöhe in the Kalahari desert - the world's largest continuous sand plain, stretching across a total of 9 African countries.
Here, deep red dunes and endless grass plains are interspersed by acacia trees and shrubs. Visit the Oahera Cultural Centre or join an optional nature tour through the red dunes (not included).

DAY 11: KALAHARI DESERT - DEPARTURE FROM WINDHOEK
Head back to Windhoek for your journey home.
