Dive deeper:
Vaavu Atoll is widely regarded as one of the Maldives’ premier diving destinations. Its channels, reefs, and underwater caves attract an incredible variety of marine life, from reef sharks and eagle rays to turtles and schools of colourful fish. These nutrient flows bring sharks, rays and pelagic species remarkably close, ideal for experienced divers. At the same time, the atoll retains a calmer, more secluded feel than North Malé, with fewer inhabited islands and a stronger emphasis on boutique, tranquil resorts.
