Filitheyo Island Resort 4* - Sanitary and Health Measures

The resort practices the most robust measures of disease prevention, in accordance with the World Health Organization (WHO) guidelines and  adheres to all directives imposed by the Maldives governing body. Actions in place include, but are not limited to:

  • Temperature checking via thermal scanners of all persons entering the hotels
  • The installation of additional hand sanitizing stations throughout the hotels
  • Frequent sanitizing of all common areas
  • Maintaining appropriate chlorine levels of all pools; deep cleaning and disinfecting of guestrooms
  • Training for all staff on procedures to follow, should we be alerted to a case of coronavirus in our resort.

If you choose to upgrade, your All Inclusive board basis will include lunch served at the main restaurant, afternoon tea/coffee with snacks served at the a la carte restaurant and dinner served at the main restaurant. You will also have bottled water and drinks served by the glass between 10 am and midnight (including soft drinks, cocktails, beer, house wine and pouring spirits).

Surrounded by verdant vegetation and exotic birdsong, the spacious air-conditioned spa treatment rooms have glass walls on three sides. From here you can take in spectacular views and discover an array of treatments. Alternatively, you can have your treatment in the open air, under the shade of a pagoda.



On the reef, you can discover all kinds of exciting marine life including reef fish, rays, turtles, sharks, eels and lobsters. As it's the only resort in the atoll you won't run into other groups of divers at the dive sites either. The flights included are with either a scheduled or no-frills airline and are subject to live availability and prices can change. You can choose your preferred departure times during the booking process. Please select your flight options carefully as departure and arrival airports may differ.


Seaplane transfers are included throughout this offer.


Please Note:

- The seaplane transfer provider imposes a luggage restriction of 20kg of checked luggage at 5kg of soft hand luggage. Any additional weight will be charged at US$5 per kg.

- Neither the resort nor the transfer provider shall be held liable for any claims arising from missed international flights, due to the delay of a seaplane transfer caused by adverse weather conditions, or acts of God.

- Seaplanes operate during daylight hours only. Guests arriving in Male on an international flight landing after 3.30 pm will need to find their own overnight accommodation, at the own expense. They will be transferred to the hotel on the following day.

Entry Requirements

You must ensure you have a valid passport to travel on. 

If your passport describes you as a British Citizen, you do not need a visa to enter the Maldives. For non-British citizens, you should check the current entry requirements on the website of the Maldives Foreign Ministry.


Visit your health professional at least 8 weeks before your trip to check whether you need any vaccinations or other preventive measures. 

UK health authorities have classified Maldives as having a risk of Zika virus transmission. For more information and advice visit the

There are increased levels of dengue cases in 2019. Please be sure to check all health advice on the following link before travelling, paying particular attention to the 'Other Risks' section. This advice is subject to change.

Coronavirus (COVID-19)

Please note: Due to the ongoing Coronavirus (COVID-19) pandemic, the UK Government is currently requesting that all travellers returning to the UK, (with exceptions), must provide their journey and contact details up to 48 hours before arrival, and self-isolate at home for 14 days. These restrictions will be reviewed every three weeks. The Foreign & Commonwealth Office (FCO) currently advises British nationals against all but essential international travel, and this advice is also being kept under constant review.

Travelers are welcome to the Maldives, it is however recommended to take out insurance covering the risks of infection during your stay.

In addition, you are asked to complete the "Travel Health declaration" form ( 24 hours before departure to the Maldives. Note that COVID-19 tests can be performed randomly upon your arrival.

From September 10, all travelers must present the results of a negative COVID-19 test dating back less than 72 hours translated into English. You will also be asked for the test when you take your transfer upon arrival at the hotel.In addition, it is possible that the airline will ask you for a negative PCR test before boarding there and back. Therefore, we strongly invite you to contact the company in order to learn about the formalities to be observed.
