DAY 1: ARRIVAL IN SIGIRIYA
- Arrival at Colombo Bandaranaike International Airport (CMB).
- An airport representative will be waiting for you in the Arrivals Hall.
- After check-in at your hotel, the rest of the day is yours to spend at leisure.
- Guests can enjoy a free foot massage at the hotel spa (valid on the first or second day, 2 guests only)

DAY 2: SIGIRIYA / DAMBULLA
Enjoy a scenic ride on a local wooden catamaran in a reservoir and discover beautiful natural scenery and wildlife along the way. Experience a slice of traditional village life by visiting with a family in their traditional house and taking a stroll through the village and the local market gardens.

DAY 3: KANDY
Today you'll visit Sigiriya (Lion's Rock), a large ancient stone and rock fortress, and a ruined palace in the centre of Dambulla surrounded by the remains of an extensive network of gardens, water reservoirs and other structures. This popular tourist destination is also known for its ancient paintings (frescoes) reminiscent of the Ajanta caves in India.
Sigiriya is also one of Sri Lanka's seven World Heritage Sites and a UNESCO-declared Eighth Wonder of the World.
- Check out of the hotel and transfer to Kandy.
- Visit Lion's Rock. Please note: If you wish to climb to the top, it will take you about 2-3 hours.
- En route to Sigiriya, visit the 'Swing in Sigiriya' for a complimentary swing, followed by the Ayurvedic village of Matale, which boasts unique and high-quality spices.
- Take in a tour of the city of Kandy on a 20-30-minute tuk-tuk ride.
- Visit a batik and wood carving centre.

DAY 4: HATTON
Today you'll visit the Temple of the Tooth - a monumental architectural heritage not only of Kandy but of the whole of Sri Lanka. The tooth relic was brought to Kandy by King Wimaladharmasuriya-I who took it out of Delgamuwa at Sabaragamuwa.
Next up on the itinerary - thetea plantation and factory, where you can experience tea picking for yourself. Sri Lanka is home to the world's finest Ceylon tea, with its fine, rich flavour and brilliant golden colour.

DAY 5: COLOMBO
Embark on a tour of the largest city in Sri Lanka, which is filled with modern skyscrapers, colonial-era architecture and bustling markets.

Flights:
You will be able to choose your airline and flight times when you make your booking, in either Economy, Premium, or Business class, depending on the destination and carrier. This flight may include one or more stopovers. Please review your flight options carefully as departure and arrival airports may differ, in order to offer the best price.
Luggage information
Luggage, meals and other services on board may be subject to an additional fee on certain airlines. It is possible to view details of luggage allowances when you choose your flights at the next stage of the booking process. If luggage is not included with your flight, please go to the airline's website before your departure to purchase your luggage for an additional fee.
For domestic flights, airlines do not always offer the option of reserving luggage. In this case, you will need to pay for it at the airport counter.
You will receive all the information you need to check in for your flights after you have made your reservation.
Transfers:
Sit back and enjoy the ride with included transfers to and from your beautiful hotel. The type of transfer is dependent on your hotel location and can be a domestic flight, speedboat or seaplane transfer (or a combination).
If you choose one of our non-flight inclusive offers and wish to book your own flights to the Maldives, please plan to arrive in Malé before 3pm and depart after 10am, in order to take advantage of the seaplane/ speedboat transfers. If you plan to book your own flights outside the above-suggested times, you may need to source your own overnight accommodation (at your own expense).
Additional information for seaplane transfers:
- The seaplane transfer provider imposes a maximum luggage allowance of 20kg per person for hold luggage, and a maximum of 5kg per person for hand luggage. Additional weight will be charged per kg.
- Luggage for children under 2 years of age is not included in the luggage allowance. A supplement of $5 per kg will be payable on the spot.
- The hotel and transfer provider cannot be held responsible for any claims arising from missed international flights, delays in seaplane transfers caused by adverse weather conditions, or force majeure.
- Seaplanes operate during the day only. If you arrive in Malé on an international flight after 3pm, hotel transfers will be provided the following day and you will be responsible for arranging and paying for your overnight stay in Malé.
- In order to organise your airport/hotel/airport transfers, please provide us with your flight schedule within 48 hours of your booking by filling in the dedicated form in your member account. Without this information, your transfers cannot be carried out.

Malé, the capital of the Maldives, is a bustling, vibrant city located on a small island surrounded by turquoise waters. While it may be smaller in size compared to the sprawling resorts scattered across the archipelago, Malé offers a fascinating blend of modernity and tradition, making it a perfect destination for a cultural getaway, with the bonus of a tropical paradise setting.

- Hukuru Miskiy (Old Friday Mosque): A stunning example of traditional Maldivian architecture, this 17th-century mosque is made of coral stone and features intricate carvings and beautiful wooden doors.

Good to know:
Malé experiences a tropical climate with warm temperatures and sunshine throughout the year. The best time to visit is during the dry season, from November to April when the weather is most pleasant for outdoor activities. While the city itself is relatively small, it provides a fascinating glimpse into the culture, history, and daily life of the Maldives, making it an excellent starting point for a Maldivian adventure.
Colombo
Sri Lanka is a lush, tropical island paradise, famously described by Marco Polo as 'undoubtedly the finest island of its size in the world'. This is a culturally rich and environmentally diverse country, with nine World Heritage Sites (the oldest dating back to the 3rd Century BC); 86 species of mammals (including elephant and leopard) and more than 400 bird species (including 26 endemics); a colourful array of flowering plants and trees, and a Hill Country famous for tea; 14 National Parks out of 100 areas protected by the government; and an Indian Ocean coastline boasting palm-fringed and sandy tropical beaches.
Visit ancient sites and marvel over legendary temples, or see the sacred home of the world’s oldest living tree, Anuradhapura. Take a safari tour in one of Sri Lanka’s national parks to encounter elephants, leopards, water buffaloes, and exotic birds, or spend the day relaxing on the dazzlingly white, often virtually untrodden beaches.
Try your hand at a little surfing or retreat up into the Sri Lankan hills to experience a more temperate climate and the lavish greenery of the tea plantations. You can even trek through the rainforests with an experienced guide, or just take in the breathtaking vistas on a spectacular train ride.
