Your Destinations —
Diani is a tropical paradise on the coast of the Kenyan safari land.. Diani Beach has many of the ingredients of the perfect tropical holiday destination.
Its location along a stunning white sand beach, which skirts the shore for an impressive 25 km has cemented its position as one of Kenya’s premier resorts.
A huge variety of activities are offered that cannot be found in any other single beach destination. Sports activities available include Golf, Horse riding and tennis, as well as any watersports activity one wishes to think of.
Leisure pastimes such as shopping, fine wine and dine and guided nature walks compliment an enormous range of daily excursions and world class defining safaris.
Lying just four degrees south of the equator, Chale Island offers you a choice of worlds that no other island can equal. Coral seas abundant with fish life, coastal forests and mangroves teaming with bird and insect life, snow white beaches offering safe warm bathing, and of course Kenya’s world famous safari parks.
Chale Island is a small romantic island situated 600 meters off the mainland. 10 km south of Diani, 1,2 km long and 0,8 km wide, with a general north/south orientation. The Island is divided into two parts; resort and sacred forest or “kaya”. The resort lies in 15 acres of indigenous ancient forest, with a stunning 10,000 square meter white sand bay which is protected by a vibrant coral reef.
With an explosion of colourful flora and fauna the island is truly magical and if that is not enough, also features a mystical inland tidal mangrove lake.
Sands at Nomad —
You will enjoy a 3 night stay in a Sea Breeze Room, with Bed & Breakfast.
The hotel is set amid 26 acres of indigenous coastal forest fronted by 225 meters of gentle lawns and waving palm trees, and enjoys uninterrupted access to one of Kenya’s most unspoilt stretches of silver sand and aquamarine sea. Every effort has been made to keep the natural vegetation of the Resort intact. All gardens and imported plants are carefully integrated into the Resort’s original flora with an aim at increasing the indigenous wildlife.
Set aside from the resort for extra privacy and accessed by a private gateway, the restaurant offers a luxurious tropical breakfast buffet to start your day, and a range of fine options ranging form the freshest sushi to wood-fired pizzas.
The Sands at Nomad has something to offer everyone. Normal resort activities available include a magical SPA, a well equipped watersports center, Yoga, guided forest walks, frequent low key local displays and a selection of boat excursions. Other activities available in the vicinity of the resort include tennis, golf, a selection of shopping possibilities or for the more adventurous a wide range of safaris.
Facing the sea without direct view of the ocean, these rooms offer a traditional coast feeling with Swahili freezes and Lamu ceilings. All the rooms are individually interior designed and furnished with an inspired combination of Swahili objects d’art furniture and the finest mahogany woodwork.

3 Night Safari Itinerary —
Day 1 Mombasa – Tsavo East (245Kms/4h)
After an early breakfast, pick up from your Sands at Nomad Hotel and depart to Tsavo East National Park. Upon entering the park the driver will open the roof of your bus, so you can stand up with the wind in your hair. Welcome to Africa, the safari has begun! Tsavo is the largest national park in Kenya and is split into East and West by the highway. You will arrive at your lodge in time for lunch and later enjoy time for relaxation before setting off back into the park for your afternoon game drive. Return to the lodge as the sun sets. Overnight Voi Safari Lodge or similar on a full board basis.
Day 2 Tsavo East – Amboseli (315Kms/5h)
After an early breakfast, depart to Amboseli national park. If the weather is clear you’ll catch sight of the majestic Mount Kilimanjaro directly ahead. Entering the gate you will enjoy game viewing on route to your camp, arriving in time for lunch. After some time for relaxation or a dip in the inviting swimming pool, set out into the national park for a game drive. Return to the camp as the sun sets. Overnight at Amboseli Sentrim Camp or similar on a full board basis.
Day 3 Amboseli – Taita Hills Game Sanctuary (250Kms/4h)
Following an early morning game drive and breakfast, depart east to Taita Hills, arriving in time for lunch followed by is an afternoon game drive in the Sanctuary, returning to the lodge as the sun sets. After dinner set out on a night gamedrive, this time with an opportunity to view nocturnal wildlife in their habitat. Overnight at Sarova Saltlick Lodge on a full board basis.
Day 4 Taita Hills – Diani Beach (290Kms/5h)
After breakfast enjoy a morning game drive in the sanctuary returning to the lodge for lunch before continuing your journey to Mombasa, aiming to reach Sands at Chale Island Hotel in the evening.
Sands at Chale Island —
You will enjoy a 4 or 8 night stay in a Standard Room, with Half Board.
Beside the reception is the main fresh water swimming pool, built with local stone and connected by a small waterfall to a sixteen seater Jacuzzi. Plentiful sun beds are scattered around the generous pool surround. Located between the Standard Rooms is another swimming pool area with pool bar and sun beds. Enjoy the tranquility and relax with magnificent panorama views on the Indian Ocean.
On the other side of the Island by the SPA and fitness area is a salt-water swimming pool with steps leading directly into the sea at high tide offering a magical swim through the mangroves to the main jetty.
With steps leading straight down to the centre of the beach, the main restaurant is ideally situated to give the true island feeling. The expert team of highly trained cooks led by Chef Evans will make sure that every meal is a pleasure.
With a strong emphasis on seafood, the live grilling station and Pasta corner ensure that your meal cannot be any fresher. Traditional Kenyan cuisine, mixed with both Italian and Oriental dishes, will not leave you wanting in any aspect.

On this excursion, members can enjoy a personalised and professional snorkelling and diving day safari to Kisite Marine Park. The park is graced by the presence of dolphins.
