Day 1-2

Day 1: Arrival in Amman

Enjoy dinner on your flight.

Upon arrival, you will be welcomed at the airport and transferred to your hotel.

Check-in and stay overnight at your first hotel.

 

Day 2: Amman - Iraq el Amir - Salt - Amman (30 km - 40 minutes)

Visit Iraq el Amir

Continue to the city of Salt, the first Jordanian capital for a short period

A walking tour will allow you to discover the city and enjoy lunch in Salt at a local's house or in a restaurant depending on availability.

Continue to Amman for dinner (excluding drinks) and overnight at the hotel

Day 3-4

Day 3: Amman - Jerash - City Tour - Amman

Head to Jerash City, one of the best-preserved Roman cities in the Near East

After lunch, return to Amman

Enjoy a city tour to discover the secrets of the Jordanian capital

Enjoy a traditional dinner (excluding drinks) at a local restaurant

Overnight stay at the hotel

 

Day 4: Amman - Kings Highway - Madaba - Nebo - Kerak - Petra (266 km - 4 hours)

Take the Kings' Road to visit Madaba.

Continue to the fortress of Kerak, the valley below which was one of the great routes to Palestine 

Lunch (excluding drinks) in Kerak

Continue to Petra via the desert road

Dinner (excluding drinks) and overnight at the hotel

Day 5 -6

Day 5: Petra

Departure for Petra, the Pink City

Visit the Siq, a narrow and long fault line caused by a prehistoric earthquake, the Roman Cardo and the "Qasr El Bint", the only temple still standing and in a remarkable state of preservation 

Lunch (excluding drinks) at the site's restaurant 

Climb Mount El Deir to admire the masterpiece of the site, "the Monastery" and enjoy some free time 

Return to the hotel, and enjoy Dinner (excluding drinks) 

 

Day 6: Petra - Little Petra - Wadi Rum (115 km - 1 hour 40 minutes)

Departure to "Little Petra", for a last visit to this majestic site! 

Visit the Wadi Rum desert

Lunch (excluding drinks) in a Bedouin camp

In the afternoon, go for a ride in a 4X4 in the thousand-year-old desert of Wadi Rum

Dinner and overnight at the Eco-Lodge

Day 7-8

Day 7: Wadi Rum - The Dead Sea - Amman (320 km - 3 hours 20 minutes)

Departure for the Dead Sea

Lunch (excluding drinks), dinner (excluding drinks) and overnight at the hotel 

 

Day 8: Departure from Amman

Take the transfer to the airport ahead of your flight home.

If the number of people on this group tour per day is less than 7, the group will be accompanied by an English-speaking driver and a local English-speaking guide on the sites of Jerash, Petra, Amman.

Tips: Around 32€

In Jordan, tipping is customary for all participants of the tour and is a significant part of salaries. A tip of 25 dinars (approx. 30 GBP) per person will be asked for by the guide at the beginning of the tour, to be divided between restaurant owners, hoteliers, waiters, luggage handlers, 4x4 drivers, staff in Wadi Rum and the coach driver. As for the tip for the guide, it is customary to give it at the end of the tour and is left to your own discretion. Again, it makes up an important part of salaries.

  

Visa fees are included provided that the following information is sent within the time limit (1 week min before the departure):
