DAY 1: ARRIVE IN AMMAN

DAY 2: AMMAN
After breakfast, venture out to the Desert Castles, starting with Qasr Al-Kharaneh, a striking example of early military and caravan architecture. Continue to Qasr Amra, a UNESCO-listed gem adorned with 8th-century frescoes. Visit Qasr Al Azraq, a fortress of strategic importance with remnants of a medieval mosque. Lunch is served amid the stark desert landscape.

DAY 3: AMMAN
Travel north to Umm Qais, dramatically perched above the Jordan Valley with sweeping views toward the Sea of Galilee and the Golan Heights. Wander between Roman ruins and an Ottoman village, pausing at the beautifully restored black basalt theatre. Continue to Pella, where layers of civilisation lie scattered across lush hillsides. End the day at Ajloun Castle, a proud Ayyubid fortress surveying the valley below, before returning to Amman.

DAY 4: AMMAN
Visit Iraq el-Amir, home to a rare Hellenistic palace set amid quiet countryside and olive groves. Continue to Salt, a graceful hill town of yellow-stone mansions that once briefly served as Jordan’s capital. Stroll its stair-stepped streets, markets, and heritage houses, gaining insight into Ottoman-era Jordanian life. Enjoy a hearty meal as you arrive back in Amman.

DAY 5: AMMAN
Begin with a city tour of Amman, climbing to the Citadel for panoramic views over the downtown bowl of rooftops. Explore the Temple of Hercules, the Umayyad Palace, and the Archaeological Museum before descending to the Roman Theatre below. Drive north to Jerash, one of the best-preserved Roman cities in the Near East. Walk its collonaded avenues and sun-warmed limestone ruins, then return to Amman for dinner.

DAY 6: AMMAN – PETRA
Follow the legendary King’s Highway south to Madaba, famed for its exquisite Byzantine mosaics. At St George’s Church, study the 6th-century mosaic map that once guided pilgrims across the Holy Land. Ascend Mount Nebo, where sweeping views stretch across the Jordan Valley toward Jerusalem. After exploring the mighty Crusader fortress of Kerak, continue through desert landscapes to Petra.

DAY 7: PETRA
Spend a full day immersed in Petra, the rose-red city carved into sandstone cliffs. Beyond, explore tombs, temples, and collonaded streets scattered across a vast desert basin. With nearly 800 monuments, Petra reveals itself slowly, rewarding every step.

DAY 8: PETRA – WADI RUM
Visit Little Petra, offering an opportunity to explore more of the rock-cut facades and ancient caravan routes.
