Day 2: The Rome of the Popes
This day is entirely devoted to papal and Baroque Rome.
First thing in the morning, immerse yourself in the vastness of the Vatican Museums, a tour of which concludes with the awe-inspiring Sistine Chapel and the majestic St Peter’s Basilica; remember to book your tickets well in advance, as this is one of the most visited sites in the world.
After lunch in the lively Prati district, just a stone’s throw from the Vatican, spend the afternoon at Castel Sant’Angelo, a former papal fortress offering splendid views over the Tiber, before heading to the magnificent Piazza Navona and its Bernini fountains.
In the evening, settle down for an aperitif in Campo de’ Fiori, one of Rome’s liveliest squares, then dine in the Jewish quarter where carciofi alla giudia, Roman-style fried artichokes, are an absolute must.

Day 3: Romantic Rome

In the afternoon, treat yourself to a visit to the Borghese Gallery, home to one of the world’s finest collections of Bernini sculptures and Caravaggio paintings, before strolling through the shaded gardens of the Villa Borghese.
Round off your stay in style by heading up to the Pincio to admire the sunset over the rooftops of Rome, then sit down for a final dinner in the trendy Monti district, amongst cobbled streets and fashionable restaurants.

Thanks to the commentary available via the audio guide, you’ll learn all about the city’s incredible history.
How the bus works:
Hop on and off the bus as you please, and spend as much time as you like at the various sights. You can board at any stop, at any time of day, as many times as you wish.

You can get on and off the bus at any stop at any time, as many times as you like, within the validity period of your pass.
