Day 2 - Reykjavik - Golden Circle - Selfoss (approx. 185 km)
Breakfast at the hotel.
Depart for Golden Circle. Start with Thingvellir National Park, a UNESCO World Heritage Site known for its historical, cultural, and geological importance, as well as the Oxarafoss waterfall. On the way to the Geysir geothermal area, is the Fontana geothermal bakery in Laugarvatn. You can visit the bakery or enjoy the baths, but please note that booking is necessary and there is an entrance fee to be paid on site. You will then head to the geyser region, of which only the Strokkur geyser is still active today. Finally, you can admire the impressive Gullfoss, which translates to Golden Falls, which is one of Iceland’s most iconic waterfalls found in the Hvítá river canyon.
Continue to your hotel. On the way, you will have the opportunity to visit the following places: the geothermal greenhouse of Fridheimar which is also an equestrian centre, or the Faxi waterfall, modest but nevertheless impressive, or the multicoloured crater of the Kerid volcano, around which you can walk. Please note that all three places require a fee to be paid on site (entrance or parking).

Days 3-4
Day 3 - Selfoss - South Coast (approx. 250 km)
Breakfast at the hotel.

Route 1 will then take you to the Solheimajokull glacier, which you can walk to (weather permitting). Finally, you can discover the famous black sand beach of Reynisfjara and its majestic basalt columns. The contrast of colours is particularly striking in winter in this region known for the Eyjafjallajokull volcano. On the way to your hotel, you will pass the charming little village of Vik, where you can admire its church or visit its charming local boutiques, selling clothes and accessories made of Icelandic wool, which is known for its strength and warmth.
Overnight in the south of the island at Fosshotel Nupar or similar.
Day 4 - Skaftafell National Park - fjallsarlon and jokulsarlon lakes (approx. 310 km)
Breakfast at the hotel.
Depart for Skaftafell National Park and Skaftafellsjökull. Visiting the park in winter is a real treat as you can see the tongues of the glacier spreading along the shore. Although surrounded by glaciers, the park is one of Iceland's least snowed-in areas due to the southerly winds. One of the most majestic places in the park is the Svartifoss waterfall. You can take the marked trails for a hike of about 1 hour to this waterfall, surrounded by basalt columns. You will then head east on Route 1 and pass the small Hofskirkja church, one of the last remaining green-roofed churches in Iceland. During the summer and autumn (until about the end of October), you can hike in the Múlagljúfur Canyon. Its unmarked trails will transport you to another world. Don't forget your crampons and hiking boots! You will then continue to the famous lagoons of the Vatnajökull glacier: Fjallsarlon and Jökulsarlon where you will see luminous icebergs drifting.
Finally, head west to your hotel
Days 5-8
Day 5 - South Coast - Reykjanes Peninsula - Reykjavik (approx. 305 km)
Breakfast at the hotel.
You will continue westwards.
Short visit to the small town of Hveragerdi, a place known for its geological activity and hot steam coming out of the ground. You will then discover the Reykjanes peninsula where the forces of nature collide offering an expanse of lava flows, cones and volcanic craters. Continue to the Krisuvik area. You will then head to the geothermal field called Gunnuhver, where fumaroles rise. Here you can see the North American and Eurasian tectonic plates meet at the bridge between the two continents. Continue to Reykjavik for a panoramic tour of the city and for some free time to enjoy the city.
