Your Itinerary —
During their cruise, our members will follow the itinerary as seen below.
Please Note: Itineraries can be changed at the discretion of Variety Cruises and of the Vessel's Captain in case of adverse weather conditions - winds of 6/7 beaufort or more depending on the vessel - on port authorities not allowing a vessel to leave port or in case of other extraordinary conditions. Such itinerary changes do not entitle automatically passengers to any refunds but Variety Cruises guarantees that passengers are disembarked at the advertised port of disembarkation on time for their flights.
Following your arrival in Reykjavik, transfer to the MS Panorama and embark between 3 and 4 pm. Enjoy free time and an overnight stay in the port.
Day 2: Reykjavik
On this day, our guests will have the opportunity to add a Golden Circle excursion (see details below in options). This optional excursion will start at the Thingvellir National Park, a place of tremendous interest as a primary site of both Iceland’s geological and historical heritage. The tour continues to Gulfoss, Iceland's most beautiful waterfall and then to the Geysir geothermal area withits multitude of hot springs, where the most active one, Strokkur, spouts every few minutes. You will stop at the Hveragerdi village, where geothermal water has been used to build up an extensive greenhouse industry and then at the Hellisheiði Geothermal Power Plant showcasing Iceland's ability to supplygreen power. Your tour will end as you pass through Reykjavik’s city centre before arriving at the pier. Overnight at sea.
This morning you will arrive in Grundafjordur, a quintessential Icelandic town, where you can choose to add an optional excursion to the Snaefellsnes Peninsula (see details below in options). This small fishing village lies next to the striking Mt. Kirkjufell, or “Church Mountain”, one of the most photographed mountains in Iceland. From there, you will head to Olafsvik, passing the splendid Baejarfoss waterfall and continuing to the southern side of the peninsula to reach the villages of Arnarstapi and Hellnar before making your way to Snaefellsjokull National Park, one of the county’s three national parks, established in 2001 in an effort to preserve the region’s unique ecosystem and historical artifacts. After your visit to the park, you will be driven back to the ship for a relaxing afternoon and evening sailing to Patreksfjordur. Overnight at sea.
Day 4: Patreksfjordur
In the morning, you will arrive at Patreksfjordur. The optional Westfjords adventure excursion (see details below in options) starts from the port and reaches the Latrabjarg cliffs, with the largest seabird colony in the northern Atlantic, the famous forits puffins colony. Your next stop is at Raudasandur, the “Red Sand” beach, which is distinct in comparison to most of Iceland’s beaches, as it is golden and pink in colour. You will ride on a tractor carriage with our expert guide and a local farmer along the beach to the seal colony, where you can see the seals up close. In the late afternoon, you will ruise around the Harnafjordur and anchor in front of the majestic Dynjandi Waterfall. After, enjoy drinks to celebrate this wonder of nature, as you sail to Isafjordur. Overnight at sea.
This morning, you will arrive in Isafjordur. After breakfast onboard, disembark for an optional tour to Thingeyri village and the interactive Viking Museum (see details in options below). After the “Viking experience” you will return to Isafjordur and visit the Maritime and Heritage Museum, highlighting the rich history and culture of this fishing community. In the afternoon you will sail to Holmavik. Overnight at sea.
Day 6: Holmavik
In the morning, arrive in the small village of Holmavik, one of the least visited parts of Iceland’s Westfjords. After breakfast onboard, disembark for an optional full day excursion (see details below in options): first, you will visit the Museum of Sorcery and Witchcraft to learn about the old Viking traditions and culture. Then you will stop for lunch at a local restaurant, built from the town’s oldest house, and finally, you will visit a local sheep farm to interact with the farmers daily lives and spend time observing the sheep. Evening return to the ship and sailing to Siglufjordur. Overnight at sea.
This morning we reach Siglufjordur, Iceland’s northernmost city, very close to the Arctic Circle and possibly the most picturesque port of Iceland. Once known as the capital of Herring fishing. There are two optional excursions (see in options below): 1. The optional walking excursion through the city will take you to the port, the Herring Museum,the Folk Music centre housed in Madame House, the oldest house in the city. 2. The Lake Myvatn & Godafoss optional tour (see details in options below): Depart Siglufjordur around noon and head to the thermal field of Namaskard. Then, continue to Dimmuborgir lava labyrinth, a paradise of towering lavacastles, natural arches and grottos. Lunch included. Driving along the shores of Lake Myvatn, you will reach Skutustadir and its amazing craters. You will then continue to the Godafoss, one of the most spectacular waterfalls in Iceland. Your tour will end at Akureyri, where you'll rejoin the Panorama in the late evening. Passengers not taking the excursion will be sailing from Singlufjordur to Akureyri with the Panorama. The Panorama reaches Akureyri in the evening. Farewell dinner. Overnight in port.
Day 8: Akureyri - Reykjavik
On this day, guests will disembark the ship between 6 am and 10 am, before transferring to the airport for a flight to Reykjavik. Upon arrival, guests will transfer to the Kea Storm Hotel 3* for an overnight stay.
On this day, enjoy a complimentary breakfast followed by free time exploring the city. Overnight at hotel.
Day 10: Reykjavik - Departure
Following breakfast, check-out of the hotel and transfer to the airport for your return flight home.

Aboard the MS Panorama, guests may choose between a Category A Cabin, a Category B Cabin and a Category C Cabin. Each of these cabins come complete with Full Board Dining (buffet breakfast, lunch and evening meal along with welcome cocktail, themed evenings and Captain's dinner).
At the Kea Storm Hotel 3* in Reykjavik, guests will be accommodated in a Classic Double Room on a Bed and Breakfast Board Basis.

Category A Cabins (Upper Deck or Main Deck - 2 lower beds or 1 double bed cabin)
The Category A Cabins are located on the Upper Deck or on the Main Deck and have large windows enabling a breathtaking view or the areas you are cruising in. The fully equiped bathrooms are finished with marble or corian.
Category B Cabins (Lower Deck - 2 lower beds)
