Tour Itinerary
Combining the Golden Circle and Secret Lagoon, this breathtaking tour takes you on a wondrous journey through Iceland’s staggeringly raw beauty and ends with the ultimate Icelandic indulgence: a luxurious soak in a geothermal pool under the open sky. Go on a journey that brings you the experiences of walking among geologic marvels, witnessing an erupting hot spring, discovering a magnificent waterfall and unwinding in an outdoor geothermal pool.

A Historical & Geological Wonder
Þingvellir National Park is located in a rift valley where the Eurasian and North American tectonic plates meet. It is a site of great historical, geological and cultural significance and has been designated a UNESCO World Heritage site. Þingvellir is the birthplace of the Althing Iceland’s parliament founded in 930 AD where the nation’s most powerful leaders would meet to decide on legislation and carry out brutal Viking age justice.

An Awe-Inspiring Waterfall
The tour continues across an area of picturesque scenery to the mighty Gullfoss waterfall. Once there, you can take several paths around the two tiers of cascading water to explore several vantage points. Extra time is allotted at this location for a lunch break at Gullfoss Café where food is available for purchase.

Bubbling with Excitement
Next up is the home of “The Great Geysir” hot spring, which all geysers are named after. This area is an impressive collage of bubbling mud pools, hissing steam vents, and colourful algae deposits. Strokkur geyser puts on quite the show every few minutes blasting boiling water high up into the air.

The Secret Lagoon
Just off the Golden Circle is the Secret Lagoon, a spring-fed pool located near the charming village of Flúðir in South Iceland. Mineral rich geothermal waters from nearby hot springs stay at a steady temperature of 38° to 40°C, making the Secret Lagoon’s water perfect for bathing and relaxation.

Icelandic Open-Air Bathing Experience
Over the years, the Secret Lagoon, or Gamla Laugin as it was referred to by the villagers, has been part of the local culture that is keeping alive the uniquely authentic experience of Icelandic open-air geothermal bathing.

Hot Springs & Geothermal Features
The Secret Lagoon offers neat and clean locker rooms, showers and changing facilities, as well as a small bar and dining area. Boardwalks and footpaths surround the pool enable guests to explore the small hot springs and other geothermal features in the immediate area. After 2 hours of enjoying the Secret Lagoon’s miraculous waters we return to Reykjavík, rejuvenated and refreshed.

An Experience for the Mind, Body & Soul
While any one of these stops makes incredible images for your Instagram feed, they also all have rich histories and fascinating tales, each told with their own nuances by our knowledgeable guides. Touring the Golden Circle and soaking in the Secret Lagoon is an unforgettable way to experience Iceland’s natural wonders for your body, mind and soul.

Game of Thrones Tour (For 4, 5, and 7-Night Stays in Summer and Winter)

Your Included Excursions
If you’re a Game of Thrones fan in Iceland, you’ll not want to miss a visit to some of the show’s most notorious filming locations. Since season 2, Icelandic landscapes and natural features have become hallmarks of the show’s breathtaking backdrops, including waterfalls, rift valleys, medieval villages and most scenes North of the Wall.

Highlights
- A great adventure for GoT fans, newbies and nature lovers alike
- Much like the show, this tour is not appropriate for children
- Venture further inland than many other tours
- Pass through the Bloody Gate at Þingvellir National Park
- Follow the paths of Sansa and Arya Stark on their separate journeys
- Relive the Wildlings’ invasion south of the Wall
- GoT guru guides with behind-the-scenes stories

Inclusions
- Complimentary pick up and drop off for hotels, guesthouses and bus stops
- Round-trip transportation
- Professional tour guide

Please Note: Tour commentary may contain strong language that might be inappropriate for children and/or sensitive individuals.

Tour Itinerary
This tour takes you to some of the filming locations in Iceland where you’ll get to experience Icelandic nature just like the cast members: take in the majestic, sweeping views, watch dancing waterfalls, capture the panoramas in the distance, and experience the stillness and solitude.

Iceland didn’t make its debut in “Game of Thrones” until season two, but since then it has become a favorite on the show. After a visit to Gullfoss waterfall, the producers of the show knew that Iceland’s diverse landscape would be the perfect backdrop for some of the show’s fiercest and most dramatic scenes like Drogon the dragon hunting for goats, the Hound and Brienne of Tarth fighting for Arya Stark (only visited during summer season) and when the Wildlings and Thenns attack Olly's village.

We’ll also visit the Bloody Gate, which is the narrow passageway to the Eyrie taken by Lord Baelish (Little Finger) and Sansa Stark and later by the Hound and Arya. The scenes at the Bloody Gate were filmed at Þingvellir National Park, a UNESCO World Heritage site where the age-old Icelandic parliament, the Althing, was established.

Various other scenes were filmed in the area such as the Wildlings roaming South of the Wall, the Thenns and Wildlings meeting in the canyon where Styr is introduced and Arya running off to find a ship to Braavos after leaving the Hound.

We’ll also walk around the settlement-era lodge in Þjórsárdalur valley where elaborate scenes were shot, including a certain hair-raising massacre of a village.

It’s a real kick for fans of the show to inhabit the world of Game of Thrones, but even those who’ve never seen the show will be able to enjoy the striking scenery on this outing. Winter is coming, so don’t miss out on this excursion before the white-walker apocalypse wipes us out!
