Your itinerary in detail —
Days 1 & 2
Upon arriving at Keflavik Airport, you'll pick up your car. If time allows, explore Reykjanes Peninsula, where you can visit notable sites such as Reykjanestá bird cliff, Gunnuhver hot spring, Brimketill rock pool, and the area around Krýsuvík hot spring. Later, return to Hveragerdi.
DAY 2: GOLDEN CIRCLE REGION
You'll tour the Golden Circle region, starting with the UNESCO World Heritage Site Þingvellir National Park. Hike through Almannagjá Gorge to the former parliament site and the picturesque Öxaráfoss Waterfall. Your journey continues to the geysers of Haukadalur, with the active Strokkur hot spring erupting frequently. Nearby, you'll find the impressive Gullfoss waterfall.
Your itinerary includes one access per person to the geothermal baths of Laugarvatn at the end of this day.
Days 3-5:
Travel through Vík, Mýrdalssandur's black sands, Eldhraun lava fields, and reach Kirkjubæjarklaustur. Visit the Skaftafell information center, hike to Svartifoss waterfall with basalt columns. Continue along Vatnajökull's base, reaching Jökulsárlón glacial lagoon.
DAY 4: SOUTH COAST
Return to Reykjavík along the south coast and visit the ornithological cliffs of Dyrhólaey and Reynisfjara with their basalt columns and black sand beach. Next stop: Skógar and the impressive waterfall Skógafoss. A visit to the local folklore and transport museum Skógasafn is recommended. Then end your day with an unforgettable walk behind the Seljalandsfoss waterfall. Continue walking along the rock face where the Gjlufrabúi waterfall hides, the inhabitant of the gorge.
DAY 5: DEPARTURE OR EXTRA DAY IN REYKJAVIK
Make the most of your last few moments in the capital before heading to the airport to return your hire car and catch your return flight.
If you choose the 5-night stay, take time to visit the capital. You can also treat yourself to a trip to the Sky Lagoon, available as an optional extra. It's the perfect way to recharge your batteries after a holiday on the road!
DAY 6: DEPARTURE FROM REYKJAVIK FOR 5-NIGHT STAYS
Conclude your journey by returning your rental car at the airport and heading home with lasting memories.

You will be able to choose your airline and flight times when you make your booking. This flight may include one or more stopovers. The stopover may be technical (without a change of aircraft) or transit (with a change of aircraft).
Luggage information
Baggage, meals and other services on board certain flights may be subject to a charge. You will find out whether your airfare includes baggage when you choose your airline and timetable. If your fare does not include baggage, please go to the airline's website before your departure with your travel file reference to find out the exact fare and purchase your extra baggage. If you choose a low-cost airline, you will be able to add your baggage during the booking process. For domestic flights, airlines do not always offer the option of reserving baggage, so you will have to pay for it at the airport counter. You will receive all the information you need to check in for your flights after you have made your reservation.
Car hire:
This package includes car hire, granting you autonomy to explore new horizons at your own pace! Renting a car empowers you to tailor your road trip experience to your preferences, turning each twist and turn of the road into a thrilling adventure. Important information if you are planning to book your own flights: In order to organise the pick-up of your vehicle at the airport, please inform us of your flight times within 48 hours of your booking by filling in the dedicated form in your member account. Without this information, you will not be able to collect your vehicle.

Without this information, your car may not be available on time. Please note that car hire is only available at Keflavik airport. Conditions for car hire:
- Minimum driver age: 20 years old with a valid driving licence for Iceland
- The driver must have a licence valid for at least 12 months
- A credit card in the name of the main driver will be required (Mastercard, Visa, Amex only)
- Please note that you will collect and return your hire car at the airport, at the Hertz counter (open Monday to Sunday, 5.30 am to 2 am)
- To make your road safe in winter, your car will have 4-wheel drive

Important information:
The main name on the booking will be confirmed as the nominated driver. The nominated driver must present a credit card in their name when collecting the car (credit cards in other names will not be accepted). The designated driver must also present a full and valid driving licence when collecting the vehicle, with at least 1 year's experience. A deposit will be required when you pick up the vehicle. This will be taken in the form of a bank account or payment of the SCDW or CDW insurance. If the deposit is refused, the car hire company has the right to cancel your car hire (please note that car hire companies do not accept Visa Electron or Maestro cards). Car hire is for 24-hour periods. Additional hours may be subject to a surcharge. Rates are indicative and subject to change. You will be contacted directly for all information relating to your car hire, and will receive all the necessary information as well as information relating to the voucher. This information must be sent a few days before your departure.
