Your itinerary in detail —
Day 1 & 2
Collect your hire car and drive 15 minutes to the famous Blue Lagoon - a gorgeous spa with a large pool and an average water temperature of 39°C. If you have time, why not explore the Reykjanes peninsula? Amire the hot springs at Gunnuhver, lava rock pool Brimketill and Krýsuvík's colourful hot spring area.

Day 2: South Coast
Start your morning off on the stunning South Coast around Vik and head to the spectacular waterfall at Seljalandsfoss. Just 18 miles away you will also find one of Iceland's largest and most beautiful waterfalls, Skógafoss, which has a staggering width of 25 metres and drop of 60 metres. Climb the steep staircase to the viewing platform for mesmerising panoramas before wending your way to Dyrholaey where you can enjoy the breathtaking vistas of Reynisfjara's black beach from one of the two observation points.

Day 3 & 4
Day 3: Skaftafell & Glacier Lagoon
Cross the black sands of Skeidararsandur to reach Skaftafell National Park where a short hike will take you to the picturesque Svartifoss waterfall. Then head to the south side of Europe's largest glacier, Vatnajokull and marvel at Iceland's highest peak, Hvannadalshnjukur (around 2,110 m). End your day at the popular glacial lagoon of Joklulsarlon, home to Diamond Beach, where floating icebergs give it a unique appearance.

Day 4: Thjorsardalur Valley, Gullfoss and Geysir
Take a detour on your way to Flúdir to see the lush Thjorsardalur Valley, and visit the Viking farm of Stöng and the fairytale-like Gjáin Gorge. Enjoy a dip in Iceland's oldest thermal pool - Secret Lagoon - when you arrive in the charming village of Flúdir then continue your journey to the majestic Gullfoss waterfall, stopping to see Geysir's hot springs area where Strokkur erupts every 10 minutes.

Day 5 & 6
Day 5: Thingvellir National Park, Borgarjförður and Hvammsvik Hot Springs
Thingvellir National Park is Iceland's most sacred historical site and the seat of the Viking parliament. See the North American and Eurasian tectonic plates in this fascinating region before continuing on to the Hvalfjörður tunnel. Once in the Borgarfjörður region, why not relax in the recently opened Krauma baths, or take a monster truck ride from Húsafell Into the Glacier, a 600 m man-made tunnel in the Langjökull glacier?

Day 6: Snæfellsnes Peninsula
Spend the whole day touring the Snaefellsnes Peninsula where colourful mountains, lava fields, fishing villages, wild beaches, a national park and an active volcano topped by a glacier paint the landscape. Make sure to visit Vatnshellir Cave, formed during an eruption 8,000 years ago, as well as Bjarnarhofn shark farm or go whale-watching from Olafsvik or Grundarfjordur.

Day 3 - Skaftafell Blue Ice Experience
During this easy Glacier Walk, you will take a short exploration of an impressive outlet glacier in Skaftafell.
This frozen giant is an impressive outlet glacier that extends from the mighty Vatnajökull, Europe's largest glacier. Your adventure begins with a meeting at Skaftafell with your certified and experienced glacier guide.
Your guide will show you how to use the basic and necessary glacier equipment we provide, such as crampons and ice axes. Once you enter the ice field, you will feel as if you have been transported to a strange, icy planet.
As you walk through a wonderland of glacial ice sculptures, ice ridges and deep glacier crevasses, you will witness breathtaking scenery as far as the eye can see. Don't miss your chance to see this glacial wonderland in person.
Day 5 – Hvammsvik Hot Springs
Immerse yourself in eight natural hot springs cascading into the ocean, all set amidst awe-inspiring mountains and black sand beaches.
Day 6 - Vatnshellir Cave Tour
Explore the Vatnshellir Cave, this 8,000-year-old lava tube formed from a volcanic eruption near the Purkhólar crater family. As lava flowed downhill, it cooled at the surface, forming a crust atop the river.
Day 8 - Sky Lagoon Pure Pass (8-night offers only,12+)
Immerse yourself in the warmth of this geothermal lagoon by the ocean.

Day 8 – Reykjavik Whale-watching (8-night offers only)
On the Whale Watching tour, we sail into Faxaflói Bay, where we look for the most common whales in the area, such as humpback whales, minke whales, white-beaked dolphins and harbour porpoises. We get an idea of their behaviour in the wild.
