Domaine De La Corniche 4* —
Domaine De La Corniche started as a lavish rendezvous retreat for King Leopold II of Belgium and his mistress, Blanche de Vaughan, who insisted on being wooed with expensive trips and gifts. Built in 1908, it was converted into a hotel in the 1920s. Domaine De La Corniche's hallways and rooms echo with its elaborate and enticing history: both 20s flappers and 70s Parisian elite have rested their heads in the glamorous rooms for sumptuous city breaks.
Now, Domaine De La Corniche has managed to retain its sense of royal grandeur while updating its features to reflect modern comforts. Swim in either the indoor or outdoor pool, take a break in the 600sqm spa and dine in one of the two restaurants.
