For tranquillity, stroll along the Seine River or visit the historic Île de la Cité, home to the Notre-Dame Cathedral.

Culinary culture:

Normandy is a gourmet’s delight, famed for creamy Camembert, crisp ciders, and apple-infused Calvados brandy. Feast on moules marinières by the sea, try tarte Tatin in a cosy café, and sample fresh oysters in Saint-Vaast-la-Hougue, where land and sea combine in every bite.
