New Voyage Privé

Carefully selected by our experts especially for you

Your Destination

Start your voyage on the right bank of the Aude, crossed by the Canal du Midi. Guests can choose between two possible routes for their trip, crossing either 37 or 40 locks. We recommend starting in Argens and seeing either Trèbes or Somail; before Carcassonne or Narbonne.

Carcassonne is
arguably the most important medieval city in Europe and as it is incredibly well preserved, it welcomes those with an interest in history, architecture, and classic Languedoc cuisine.

Hop off your boat and explore the listed UNESCO World Heritage Site. The walled city of Carcassonne has 52 towers and two enclosures, spanning over 3 kilometres. Perched on top of a hill, this postcard-worthy city also boasts incredible views of the surrounding Languedoc region.

Your Boat

A dream for all discerning British river-cruise holidaymakers, this holiday is all about staying onboard an impressive Flying Bridge 1020 or Flying Bridge 1180FB.

Enjoy a modern, beautiful and sleek riverboat, boasting a great amount of space and a full range of amenities including a sun deck and communal area, to make you feel welcome.

Superbly maintained, each boat caters to different sized groups and is a great, alternative style accommodation for a summer vacation with the family.

Cruise along the picturesque Canal Du Midi and get to enjoy comfortable bunks, heating and importantly hot water! The cabins onboard each boat offer storage and comfortable beds.

Please Note: On the day of arrival, guests will have a technician explain the operation of the boat's equipment, engine and annexes. Adults will also be given a driving lesson.

Some services may incur additional charges, payable locally.

Your Room

Whilst the Flying Bridge 1020 can house up to five guests, the 1180 can accommodate up to seven!

Be swayed to sleep by the soothing waves and stay in a cosy, well-equipped cabin, complete with comfortable beds, tasteful decorations and homely furnishings - Here, you can enjoy a view of the river from your window.

Some boats offer double beds, separate beds, storage, a wardrobe, bathroom, shower, sink and electric toilet.

Entry Requirements

You must ensure you have a valid passport to travel on.

If your passport describes you as a British Citizen, you do not need a visa to enter France. For non-British citizens, you should check the current entry requirements on the website of the French Foreign Ministry and if necessary, confirm with the French Embassy.

Health

For information about important health advice and any vaccinations required please visit www.gov.uk/foreign-travel-advice and https://travelhealthpro.org.uk/countries

If vaccinations or other preventive measures are required, you will need to visit your health professional at least 8 weeks before your trip. In the event that you are referred to a medical facility for treatment, you should contact your insurance/medical assistance company immediately.

Please note that passport, visa and health requirements can change. It is every traveller’s responsibility to ensure they have a valid passport, any required visas, and all the necessary vaccinations/health requirements as well as adequate insurance.

Brexit
If you are travelling to the EU after 29 March 2019, the UK government recommends that you have six months left on your passport on the date of your arrival to an EU country. You should also check when your passport was renewed.

If you renewed a 10-year adult passport before it expired, extra months may have been added to your passport’s expiry date. These extra months over 10 years will not count towards the 6 months that must be remaining. The UK Government has published a website tool to check the validity of your passport under these rules: https://www.passport.service.gov.uk/check-a-passport

You can renew your passport online or by going to a Post Office with a Check and Send service: https://www.gov.uk/renew-adult-passport/renew

If your passport does not meet the criteria for third-country nationals, you may be denied entry to any of the Schengen area countries.
