Your car hire information

Maximum capacity per car: 5 people.
Age restriction: The minimum age is 21 years.
The maximum age for renting a car is 80 years.
Young driver fee: Persons aged 21 to 24 years and 76 to 80 years pay a surcharge of 50% of the value of the liability waiver.
Driving licence validity and minimum duration: Driving licence with at least 2 years' experience.
Access for people with disabilities: Not available.

Pick-up: 10:00 am pick-up time at the rental office of the Blau car hire, return in Varadero is at the rental office in the Hotel Melia Las Antillas, near the Hotel Blau Varadero

Documents to be presented on-site:

• List of documents to be presented: Driving licence/passport etc.
• The driving licence must be presented in physical form. No digital media will be accepted.
• Voucher printed with the booking confirmation for the car.
• Payment methods for the deposit or pre-authorisation and amount: Visa or Eurocard of the main driver.

General terms and conditions:

This is not a list of all car hire conditions, but a selection of key conditions that our members should be aware of before booking (see examples below):
Fuel inclusions.
Example: The driver is responsible for the fuel and must return the vehicle with the original fuel level.
1. it is mandatory to present the printed voucher when confirming the vehicle booking.
2. the category of the car is confirmed, not the model.
3. the price includes: Daily rental. Insurance, airport tax, petrol, deposit and additional driver are only included if stated on the voucher, otherwise they must be paid when picking up the car at the rental station.
4. The car is delivered with a full tank of fuel, which is included in the price paid by the customer. The customer is responsible for the fuel during the journey. The customer must not return the vehicle with the original fuel level.
5. For any claim, the customer must have a copy of the contract.
6. It is recommended to contact the agency or its representative in Cuba, whose numbers are indicated on the voucher, before making any decision or payment.
7. the minimum age for renting a car without additional commission is 25 years and the maximum age is 75 years.
8. for people aged 21 to 24 years and 76 to 80 years they pay a surcharge of 50% of the value of the exemption from liability.

9. to rent a car you must have a permanent residence abroad and a Cuban or foreign driving licence or you can have a temporary residence abroad and a foreign driving licence issued at least two years in advance.
10. If it is a renewed driving licence, you must prove that you have held a driving licence for more than two years by presenting a previous driving licence or an official document.
11. You are obliged to pay a deposit at the destination: - Medium 200.00 USD.
12. The vehicle may only be refuelled with the fuel specified in the contract.
13. Minimum age 21 years, at least 2 years of proven experience. For luxury and family cars, the minimum age is 25 years, with at least 5 years of proven experience.
14. All defects or omissions must be reported "in situ" so that they can be rectified.
15. The customer is responsible for taking out health insurance. The insurance paid for the rental of the car (third party insurance) does not include the medical part.
16. At the rental station, the user will be charged for obligations not specified in the voucher: Exclusion of liability, fuel and any other costs associated with the special service (surcharge for international airports, child seats, additional drivers, drop off or similar).

17. the car must be delivered before or at the time agreed in the contract. If you do not comply with this, each additional hour (from 1 to 5 hours) will be charged as 1/5 of the rental according to the rate for 1 to 6 days, and if it lasts longer than 6 hours, you will have to pay the amount corresponding to an additional day without extension. The extra hour will apply from 59 minutes after the end of the contract.
18. In the event of an accident or total or partial theft, the agency closest to the scene of the incident must be notified and the report made to the police, which will serve to establish the guilt or innocence of the customer.
19. The user may return the vehicle to any point of sale throughout the territory, provided that he/she indicates this when opening the rental contract and pays the corresponding deposit or return supplement.

If you book a package which includes flights, your contract will be with Voyage Privé. The air holiday package(s) shown are ATOL protected by the Civil Aviation Authority. Our ATOL number is 10170.

If you book a package which does not include flights, then ATOL protection does not apply. Your contract will be with the provider of the accommodation and not Voyage Privé. Voyage Privé acts only as agent for the accommodation provider.
