Entry Requirements 

You must ensure you have a valid passport to travel on. 

If you’re entering Cuba as a tourist, you’ll need to get a tourist card before you travel.

Airport Tax

There’s a mandatory airport tax of 25 Cuban convertible pesos (CUCs). This fee should be included in the cost of your airline ticket. If in doubt, check with your airline.

Health

There are increased levels of dengue cases in 2019. Please be sure to check all health advice on the following link before travelling, paying particular attention to the 'Other Risks' section. This advice is subject to change. 

If vaccinations or other preventive measures are required, you will need to visit your health professional at least 8 weeks before your trip.

UK health authorities have classified Cuba as having a risk of Zika virus transmission. For more information and advice, visit the website of the National Travel Health Network and Centre website.

Cases of Chikungunya virus have been confirmed in Cuba. Dengue fever is also present in Cuba. You should take steps to avoid being bitten by mosquitoes.

Please note that passport, visa and health requirements can change. It is every traveller’s responsibility to ensure they have a valid passport, any required visas, and all the necessary vaccinations/health requirements as well as adequate insurance. 

Coronavirus (COVID-19)

Please note: Due to the ongoing Coronavirus (COVID-19) pandemic, the UK Government is currently requesting that all travellers returning to the UK, (with exceptions), must provide their journey and contact details up to 48 hours before arrival, and self-isolate at home for 14 days. These restrictions will be reviewed every three weeks. The Foreign & Commonwealth Office (FCO) currently advises British nationals against all but essential international travel, and this advice is also being kept under constant review. Please note that a travel insurance covering health costs in the event of coronavirus infection is mandatory.

As of 23th November 2020:

It is not necessary to present a PCR test for COVID 19 at the arrival- It is mandatory to carry out a PCR test upon arrival in Cuba. (at the same airport or another access route). It is free of charge for the passengers. All travellers are required to have a health declaration (a form that the airline must give to the passenger once on board the plane and shortly before landing in Cuba). It is required for tourists to have a medical insurance that covers COVID 19, or they can buy one upon arrival in Cuba (30.00 USD). There is not quarantine established.
