Your destinations

Split

Split, a charming Dalmatian seaside city is brimming with history and attractions, alongside a wonderful, laid-back Mediterranean atmosphere, making it the perfect place for a sun-drenched holiday. Take a wander through the cobbled streets of Split's old town, feasting on the freshest seafood and browsing the upmarket shops and cafes along the seafront promenade - there’s so much to explore here.

Must-sees:

  • Diocletian's Palace: This 4th-century palace dominates Split's Old Town and offers a fascinating journey through history.
  • Split Old Town: Wander through narrow streets lined with shops, cafés, and historic sites, like the Peristil Square.
  • Riva Promenade: Stroll along the waterfront, lined with palm trees and lively cafés whilst soaking in the stunning Adriatic views.

Culinary culture:

Split’s cuisine reflects its Mediterranean roots. Seafood reigns, with dishes like peka (slow-cooked meat and vegetables) and soparnik (a chard-filled pie). For a lighter bite, try brudet (fish stew) or grilled sardines. Pair your meal with local wine from Pelješac or sweet Prošek dessert wine.

Dive deeper:

While the city itself is full of charm, Split also serves as a gateway to some of Croatia’s most beautiful islands. Hop on a boat to Hvar, famous for its stunning beaches and lively atmosphere, or visit Vis, a quieter island ideal for exploration and relaxation. With the Mediterranean at your doorstep, island-hopping is an unforgettable experience from Split.

Good to know:

The Euro is the local currency, and the best time to visit is from late spring to early autumn when the weather is perfect for outdoor activities. The compact Old Town is best explored on foot, though ferries and boats make it easy to reach nearby islands. Modesty in dress is appreciated when visiting religious sites, such as St. Domnius Cathedral.

Dubrovnik

Dubrovnik is a city where history and stunning coastal beauty come together in perfect harmony. A UNESCO World Heritage site, Dubrovnik’s Old Town is a treasure trove of cultural landmarks, surrounded by towering city walls that date back to the 13th century. Whether you're wandering the narrow, cobblestone streets, relaxing on its sunny beaches, or venturing out to the nearby islands, Dubrovnik offers an unforgettable mix of old-world charm and Mediterranean allure.

Must-sees:

  • Dubrovnik Old Town: Step into the heart of the city, where you can explore ancient stone streets, visit historic landmarks like Rector’s Palace and Sponza Palace, and walk the iconic city walls for sweeping views of the Adriatic.
  • Mount Srd: A quick ride up the Dubrovnik Cable Car brings you to the top of Mount Srd, offering panoramic views over Dubrovnik and the surrounding coastline.
  • Fort Lovrijenac: Perched above the sea, this fort offers a glimpse into the city's past and a perfect spot for stunning views of Dubrovnik and its harbours.

Culinary culture:

Dubrovnik’s cuisine is all about fresh, local ingredients, particularly seafood. Enjoy dishes like grilled fish or black risotto—a local speciality made with squid ink. Dubrovnik also has an impressive wine scene, with the nearby Pelješac Peninsula producing some of Croatia’s best reds. For a unique culinary experience, take a boat trip to the Elafiti Islands for a traditional fish picnic on the beach.

Dive deeper:

Though the Old Town is the star, Dubrovnik has plenty more to offer. The Lapad Bay area features a more relaxed side of the city, with cafés, shops, and beaches perfect for unwinding. For adventure lovers, head to Konavle Valley for horseback riding or wine tasting, or take a day trip to the nearby Cavtat, a charming seaside town known for its peaceful atmosphere, beautiful beaches, and scenic promenades along the coast.

Good to know:

The Euro is the local currency, and the best time to visit is from May to October when the weather is warm and ideal for sightseeing. Dubrovnik is compact and easy to explore on foot, though there’s also a reliable bus system for getting around. Modesty in dress is appreciated when visiting religious sites like Dubrovnik Cathedral or the Franciscan Monastery.

Hvar

Welcome to Hvar, a Croatian island that can celebrate its illustrative history while looking firmly into the future.

This island is part of the central Dalmatian archipelago situated in a picturesque natural setting. Just 10km from Hvar town, you will find one of the most beautiful townlets on the island, founded in the 15th century. Owing to several old bridges that connect the two sides of its bay, Vrboska is often referred to as Little Venice

With the imposing architectural site of the fort-church of “St. Mary of Mercy", and the cultural Fisherman's Museum, the peaceful town of Vrboska is more than just a beachside destination. Visit Hvar Town, the centre of the island and a close drive from your hotel. Wander through 13th-century walls and pass Gothic palaces interspersed with popular clubs and more modern architecture. The beautiful waves of the Adriatic sea hit the shore, and golden beaches border this enchanting land.

Hvar attracts and accommodates for all types, which is part of its appeal. Part playground for the rich and famous, part haven for nature lovers, part culture vulture's dream destination, there is something for everyone on this beautiful island. In the summer, lavender fields are coming into bloom - don't miss the colour of their flowers and the olive trees.
